Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of The Sustainable Development Of The Non-governmental Colleges And Universities In China

With development of economy, the non-governmental colleges and universities hasbecome a vital force in the higher education system in our country. In the new historical era,the developments of the non-governmental colleges and universities are faced with bothopportunities and challenges. How to improve the quality of education of thenon-governmental colleges and universities, and broaden their developing space in theincreasingly severe education situation is a realistic problem urgently to be solved in everynon-governmental college and university.Sustainable development is a new kind of development model whose development hasbeen recognized around the world. It is very necessary and practically significant tore-examine the development of the non-governmental colleges and universities with the ideaof sustainable development. To enhance the competitiveness of the non-governmentalcolleges and universities and realize their sustainable developments, we must know theproblems the non-governmental colleges and universities are faced with in their sustainabledevelopments and the causes of them, which can help us to take correspondingcountermeasures to solve these problems. Based on such consideration, this article willidentify the sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universities as thesubject.This article introduces the theory and idea of sustainable development to the research ofthe development of the non-governmental colleges and universities, and explores the rules andproper internal operating mechanism of the development of the non-governmental collegesand universities, which helps to provide a new model for the development of thenon-governmental colleges and universities, helps them to aware their educational conditionssoberly and make their developments sustainable.Starting from the concept of sustainable development, this article probes the legalenvironment, the management system, the evaluation system, the school-running orientation,the school quality and the operation mechanism of the state-owned the non-governmentalcolleges and universities in our country with the basic theory of sustainable development ofhigher education. The main ways have been applied in this article are the following: literature research, introspection, correlation and history. Firstly, the concept of the non-governmentalcolleges and universities and the sustainable development were defined. The author analyzesthe necessity for the sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges anduniversities, and compares academic theories of the sustainable development of thenon-governmental colleges and universities theoretic. Secondly, the problems existing in theprocess of sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universities and thecause of these problems are analyzed. The author seeks the causes from two perspectives:imperfect laws and government support defects. Finally, some countermeasures for realizingthe sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universities are putforward from six aspects.The author argues that in this article: along with the expansion ofenrollment in higher education, the utilitarian and marketization of non-governmentalcolleges and universities have become more and more obvious, which seriously restricts thesustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universities. To achieve thesustainable development in the non-governmental colleges and universities in this context, itis necessary to correct its school-running idea, adjust the professional courses, and perfect thegovernance mechanism. Therefore, to set up a proper educational idea is the prerequisite forthe sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universities in our country.It is the key of the sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universitiesto attract teachers with favorable conditions to and promote the stable development of theteachers. Reconciling the financing, management, and talent is not only the basis for thesustainable development of the non-governmental colleges and universities, but also therepresentation of the sustainable development of the non-governmental colleges anduniversities in our country.
