Modern society is full of information technology. The development of information in human society has become not only an important form of human wealth accumulation, but also one of the important symbols of social civilization level. It is a great responsibility for the information technology subject to train the students’ information levels. The students’ information technology levels are different from each other because of their families and geographical environments. How to make every student improve? How to improve the quality of information technology teaching? In order to solve those problems, I introduced the theory of mastery learning in my teaching. On one hand, it is an effective teaching strategy, which does not change the original class teaching. On the other hand, it emphasizes the different requirements for different students. The theory pays more attention to the teaching feedback and correction, to improve the students’ interest in learning and to make sure most of the students can master the teaching contents.The article defines the main contents and theoretical basis of mastery learning theory by theoretical research method. According to the characteristics of information technology subject, the article introduces the mastery learning theory and put forward the information technology teaching mode. The procedure of choosing different teaching methods is added to the mode in order to avoid the problem of the single teaching method. According to the different characteristics of the teaching contents and students,the teachers can use suitable teaching method to improve the teaching quality and efficiency. The teachers will provide some extra learning contents in the same unit for the students who have mastered the appointed knowledge. It can make them learn more knowledge and know more about the world.Based on the teaching mode, the teaching strategy of information technology is introduced, which is based on the mastery learning theory. In the preparation stage, the teachers should set up a new view of the students, understand the cognitive and emotional abilities of the students. The teaching contents will be divided into several teaching unit. The teachers can select the suitable teaching method according to the teaching contents and students’ characteristics, and introduce the methods and steps of mastery learning to the students. In the teaching processes, the teachers should give the students timely evaluation, correct the mistakes that are made by the students who cannot master the learning contents, and ask the students who have mastered the learning contents to learn more knowledge about the same unit. The second time evaluation should be done after the correction.The author did some research in my practical teaching. According to the information technology teaching mode, the author designed a teaching case of the teaching unit about the "data collection and entry" and "image processing". In Taolin Middle School, in Donghai County, the author chose two classes of grade seven to do some teaching research, used questionnaire survey and experimental research and analyzed the collected data by SPSS software. The results showed that the application of mastery learning strategies in the information technology teaching made the students’ information technology levels improved rapidly, their autonomous learning ability has been effective training and their learning interest and confidence increased greatly. Finally, the author summarized and reflected on the problems existing in the research and put forward the direction and measures of the improvement for further research. |
