| Context is the sum of all kinds of language environment that people use to communicate. It is not only the context, but also the context of situation, the context of society and culture as well as the context of cognition. In addition, due to the changing space and time, the cognitive ability of human will also change. Therefore, the context is separated from the static situation and presents dynamic. Context restricts the implementation of the goal of whole process of communication. It is not only the important direction of linguistics and sociology research, but also the object of study of Chinese teaching. As a new concept, the context teaching method has a crucial effect on the middle school Chinese teaching.Based on the careful study of relevant contextual teaching and according to the actual situation of the Chinese teaching, the author makes the definition of the context teaching. Context teaching is the teaching about given context. It’s a concept of language teaching. It is still a method to cultivate the students’ language application ability and guide students in communicative activities.In order to learn the reality of Chinese context teaching, the author conducted a questionnaire survey to the middle school Chinese teachers of Yang Zhou area. The questionnaire revealed many problems:teachers are lack of context theory, the enthusiasm of the students is low in context teaching, the implementation of the objective conditions is hard to guarantee and so on.The theoretical basis of teaching idea is theory of language acquisition and pragmatic theory of Linguistics; teaching communication in the perspective of pedagogy and the learning theory of Constructivism of psychology. The middle school Chinese context teaching pays importance to train the students’awareness of context and context of situation, context of society and culture as well as context of cognition. As a teaching method, the middle school Chinese context teaching method can be divided into context teaching method, context of situation teaching method, context of society and culture teaching method as well as context of cognition teaching method. The middle school Chinese teaching method should be paid attention to by the teachers, students and society. The author believes that, the middle school Chinese teaching method can get more and more attention of the Chinese education. Its theory will be more perfect and its implement will be more widely and effect. |
