| Novels express ideas through words.As a kind of language art,novels can show different social life in detail,allowing readers to understand the reality,understand the world,and feel different local customs and social styles.The novels selected in the textbook are literary works with both artistic value and teaching value.However,in the practical Chinese teaching,the novels have not played their due educational value,and the long-standing teaching problems cannot be ignored.Context is the environment in which language is used.The understanding and application of language cannot be separated from the specific context,and the understanding of discourse should be restored to the specific language situation.The learning of novels is closely related to the specific context.For example,the environment shaped by the novel is the background factor of the survival of the characters in the novel.When analyzing the image of characters in novels,it is necessary to consider the background environment of characters and the environment of characters’ dialogue.The accurate grasp of the main idea of the novel often needs to contact the historical and cultural background of the novel;The cognitive context of the characters in the novel will be revealed through the characters’ language and actions,etc.Teachers need to guide students to have a collision of cognition and thinking.Therefore,this paper re-examines the novel teaching based on the context theory,in order to provide new ideas for junior high school novel teaching.The introduction explains the origin,significance and methods of the research,and summarizes the research results of domestic and foreign scholars,so as to better understand the development trend of the combination of context theory and junior high school novel teaching.The text of this paper is divided into four parts.In the first part,the concept of context theory and novel teaching is sorted out,and the correlation between them is found.The possibility of combining context theory and novel teaching is clarified by analyzing the relevant content of context teaching in the textbook compiled by the department and the relevant content of context teaching in selected novels.On this basis,from the perspective of Chinese curriculum standards and novel text characteristics,this paper expounds the necessity of introducing context theory into junior high school novel teaching,and expounds language from three aspects: student development,teacher growth and teaching innovation. |
