Social Work On The Elderly Abuse Problem Of Tujia Minority District

As China’s population and family structure changes, aging has become one ofthe main problems of China’s current and future development of society. The agingof China’s social development has brought enormous challenge, one of the mostimportant factors in the future of China’s pension problems become a constrainingChina’s economic development and the social development. While the elderly in oldage due to degradation of physical function in older people, loss of labor, decrease inthe family and social status, which makes the elderly worthiness, therefore, a senseof security can not achieve in life goal in life. Even more serious is the elderly abusephenomenon is becoming more and more serious, has seriously affected the elderlypension and life issues. So we must actively face the aged and elderly abuse,promote the elderly target, thus contributing to the building of a harmonious societyin china.Social work is an emerging occupation in China in recent years, in order torealize the construction of harmonious society and the development of constructionof people’s livelihood and the rise of. By the methods of social work, professional,uphold the concept of self-help, the use of group work, case work and communitywork to achieve the purpose of autonomous manipulation. At present our countrysocial work in the elderly services have already begun to explore, and accumulatedsome experience. So for social work intervention in Tujia area has some referenceopinions battered old problems. Social work intervention in the elderly abuse serviceis one of the important measures to protect the elderly, is an important manifestationof people’s livelihood construction. While the values of social work and uphold theconcept also determines the feasibility of social work intervention in elder abuseproblem, current situation and the elderly abuse problem determines the necessity ofsocial work intervention.This paper selects the Tujia minority in Hubei Province, Enshi village of Y asthe research area, were surveyed and interviewed selected men over the age of60years old. Firstly, through investigation and interview data were collected andanalyzed, discussed the status of the elderly in Tujia areas of masochism, schemedesign and design of social work intervention in the elderly of Tujia area abuseproblems, specifically from the case work, group work and community work aspectsof the design. Finally, the measures and suggestions of promoting social work intervention of elderly abuse problems, mainly from the development of governmentdepartments, social work services, social work development and evaluation ofservice levels are proposed to promote the development of social work in thebattered old service aspect suggestion, expect this research can provide social workintervention of elderly abuse of Tujia area to provide theory and practice reference.
