| Mother-tongue education is one of the most important educations acrosscountries and regions of the world. The purpose of mother-tongue education is notonly learning, and the inheritance of the nation’s culture. The school is the best placeof mother tongue education. Teachers use textbooks to educate the students’ nativeChinese. Therefore, the mother-tongue education reform occurs in all countries, Chinais also included. In the process of editing textbooks, we can learn the experience frommany countries and regions, Taiwan and mainland China share a common ancestor,but because Taiwan’s special geographical location and the particular political system,her textbooks are different. Mainland and Taiwan can learn many things from eachother. So the purpose of writing this paper is to promote the development of themainland and Taiwan Chinese textbooks by the different contrast between themainland and Taiwan high school Chinese textbooks. Research methods of this paperare documents method, content analysis and comparative study.the object of study isthe high school Chinese textbooks from People’s Education Press and Hanlin Press.The paper can be divided into five parts, the contents of the preface is to tell thereaders the causes and significance of the research questions, the objects of study,research methods, the paper structures. The content of part II is contrast the mainlandand Taiwan’s curriculum standards; the contents of part III are contrast the Structuresand systems of Chinese textbooks of Mainland and Taiwan; the contents of part Ⅳ arecontrast the same classic texts of the mainland and Taiwan. Including the texts’structures and specific issues, and Teaching reference is also included. The contents ofthe last part are conclusions and recommendations. |
