With the progressive mature of market economy and the acceleration of social transformation and urbanization in china, there are very significant and profound changes in socio-economic structure during the thirty years of reform and opening-up. Moreover, more and more surplus rural labors transfer to urban in the process of the socio-economic transformation. Most parents will chose leave their children at home alone and children are cared and raised by their friends and relatives due to their life quality, work environment and policy limit in city, which lead to their separations between parents and children of migrants, the phenomenon of left-behind children is resulting from this. These rural children are in the most their critical stage of the growth and development, they face a series of spiritual, psychological, physical and educational problems due to parents work in outside and can not give good care to them. There are about60million rural left-behind children in china, they whether can healthy growth, which not only was related to the fate of children’s own, the rural family, and future development of village, but also there are important theoretical significance and practical value for building a harmonious socialist society and socialist new countryside.In this thesis, education question based on the survey of rural left-behind children in Ji’an city of china was studied, to look the whole country to explore the counteimeasure of education question of rural left-behind children, especially the status, existing problem, and the causes of these problems of rural left-behind children. This paper collected firstly the research data and pertinent literature on the problems of left-behind children in rural areas, and analyzed recent advances of rural left-behind children in china. Then the education status of rural left-behind children in Ji’an city of Jiangxi Province was surveyed, a lot of first-hand information on their existing educational problems was obtained, the causes of these problems was analyzed and discussed, and the policy measures have been taken by the local government to solve these problem. Education problem of left-behind children is a complicated, comprehensive, and systematic project, this needs a combination with a network of social cares, supporting system and regulation, which can only be completed with the joint efforts from families, schools, societies and government. So that purposes of these researches about the duties and responsibilities of families, neighborhoods, and schools; and relevant measures and countermeasures of societies and government. And it can make all the power together to care, focus and deal with the educational problem of rural left-behind children. In this way, it can solve the education problem for the children of peasant workers; improve the qualities of these children as future labor force; promotes the all-round, coordinated and sustainable development of rural economy, society and environment. The author has been working hard on the frontline of care work of left-behind children for a long time, and has an indissoluble bond with left-behind children. I feel honored and humbled to be able to make a contribution to the happiness and healthy growth of left-behind.
