Tonghua Tata (It Means Talk About The Topic Of Lesbian Together)——A Case Study Of Lesbian In Kunming And Their Organization "Tonghuashe"

Despite a subcultural and a sensitive issue in China, homosexuality is a cultural and social phenomenon that obtains more and more concern and study in recent years. Lesbian, as a part of this study, is the one hard to be neglected. While as a matter of fact, we have neither enough research on it, nor the related common sense. Though we got many restrictions on this topic, still, as a subsistent social being and cultural group, the Lesbian needs more attention and study on it.In a view of social gender analysis and sexual anthropology, and through by the fieldwork study, this paper dose a case study of parts of lesbian in Kunming and Tonghuashe, one organization focus on Lesbian in Kunming. The title of this paper, Tonghua Tata, has brought out from the name of this organization.This article mainly discusses the following content. Firstly, it discusses the process of individual sexual orientation of identification, with their Tn P and H identity. And their interpretation to their body and sex. Secondly, it discusses their extent of sexual orientation in different occasions, how they express themselves on that. That comes to the phenomenon about their coming out and marriage of convenience. Thirdly, it presents the history of the case Tonghuashe through oral stories, attempts to figure out its significance and their collective identity, the influence of organization operation and challenges. Then analyzes the group phenomenon of lesbian—"Quanzi". Above all, the conclusion expounds and analyses the main reason that why most common people treat lesbian with the attitude of indifference and rejection, it comes from the compulsory heterosexuality culture which constructed by Social gender custom. Similarly, Social gender system and culture is also a restriction to lesbian to a large extent. It makes some lesbian themselves confused on’their identities. Anthropology researches, in the contract, proved cultural diversity do exist in human society. Sexual culture diversity is just one of them. This multicultural perspective helps us to understand those who look "abnormal" but different in fact, so as to advocates coexistence and the well-being of human sexual.
