As an educational type and level with distinct Chinese characteristics, Higher Vocational Education is the complex of the two concepts of "vocation" and "higher education". The particularity of the vocational education determines the specialty of vocational teacher, which means that the higher vocational teachers should be the teacher groups with theory and practice, whom have the skills and a solid theoretical knowledge, but also to focus on the accumulation of practical experiences, it is also necessary for them to grasp the forefront development of the professional academic fields, meanwhile to keep in close contact with industry and enterprise, always pay attention to the development of the industry dynamics. Moreover, higher vocational teachers have to face with specific groups of students a group of students, who have the poor cultural knowledge base, more serious inferiority complex, a weak sense of self-discipline. Compare to the general teacher groups, higher vocational teachers have to confront with the more serious working pressure and psychological pressure.The purpose of this thesis is to understand the subjective happiness feelings of Qingdao vocational teachers in tourism specialty, and the empirical research will be conducted via survey. With reference to the relevant research data, and combined with the work characteristics and current situation of vocational teachers in tourism specialty of public colleges, The Subjective Happiness Questionnaire for Qingdao Vocational Teachers in tourism specialty is composed to explore the actual situation of happiness for Qingdao vocational teachers in tourism specialty.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the topic background, purpose and study significance, summarizes the development status and trends of teachers’ subjective happiness of domestic and international, learns from the past applications and research experience on the basis of the research methods and research articles, thus to build a research framework and the system of the thesis.The thesis elaborates the specific meaning and theoretical basis of higher vocational teachers, happiness and subjective happiness, summarizes combing the research tools and component of subjective happiness, then concludes the major theoretical perspectives and the choice of research tools of happiness.The thesis proposes the research map for subjective happiness and constructs the index evaluation system for Qingdao vocational teachers in tourism specialty. Through the questionnaire data analysis for the teachers of tourism specialty in three vocational colleges of Shandong Foreign Trade Vocational College, Qingdao Hismile College and Qingdao Technical College, the thesis measures and analyzes the happiness teachers in tourism specialty of higher vocational education.The study found that subjective happiness of teachers in tourism specialty of higher vocational education belongs to the upper-middle level, overall happiness level is not high. Situation and existing reason of subjective happiness of teachers in tourism specialty of higher vocational education are also analyzed, and differences under different backgrounds of happiness such as title, age, entry ages, gender and other variables impact on subjective happiness are analyzed as well.Conclusions drew from analysis, the thesis proposed the reasonable suggestions for administrative department of education, higher vocational colleges, teachers in tourism specialty of higher vocational education. And the summary of the subjective happiness of teachers in tourism specialty of higher vocational education is concluded.
