The face-to-face assessing is a teaching method that teachers make a face-to-face communication and guidance with students,to help students to recognize advantages and disadvantages of the composition, and to inspire and urge them to modify.As a very effective evaluation methods for the composition, the operation of it is not complicated, but has not received wide attention in the teaching of writing.The new curriculum standards have pointed, the assessing should respect the dominant position of students, respect for students’individual differences and individual requirements.The face to face assessing with its individualized, targeted, teffective and many other advantages, is an ideal assessing composition mode.However, if you do not pay attention to rational use, it can lead to teachers spent a lot of effort futile.It is necessary to do further research and discussion,to seek a solution of some of the problems and errors in the implementation process,and provide some references for composition teaching.In this paper, by observing the process of assessing compositions with face to face by a Chinese teacher.who has working at a high school in BeiJing,and from some ways, for example,teacher-student relationship, assessing content, time validity and so on,to explore and analyze the strengths and weaknesses of this case using this method.in order to give the majority of teachers some effective recommendations.The study also used the interviews, make some random communication with teachers and students, to understand the feelings of them across the teaching method. In addition, through a literature review, analysis, integration of literature, to enhance my theoretical level, the clear purpose of writing papers and practical value.
