The Chinese classical poetry is an extremely brilliant part of the humantreasure of spiritual civilization with extensive knowledge and profoundmeaning, which is also the essence of national culture. Every nation in theworld has its own special methods of appreciating poetry, in which musichas also played an indispensable part to pass on the cultural treasures. Toappreciate the poetry by singing is one of the characteristics of Chinesenational culture. Passionate singing enables people to fully enjoy the classicpoems, which, after thousands of years of washing, are filled with essenceand treasures, vividly displaying the compassionate concern for the fate ofthe nation of successive patriots, and therefore symbolizing the immortalsoul of a great nation. However, our study of the teaching of poetry singinghas not been deep enough, especially lacking the research on teachingpractice. In the following essay, the writer intends to reconstruct theteaching of poetry singing by interpreting the teaching practice of Mr. PengShiqiang, thus contributing to the development of the teaching of poetrysinging.The essay is divided into five chapters: Chapter I introduces the researchbackground, the reason for the research as well as explain some relevantkeywords; Chapter II is a literature review, illustrating from the two aspectsof the relationship between music and poetry, the history and presentcondition of poetry singing teaching; Chapter III focuses on the form andcharacteristics of poetry singing; Chapter IV is mainly about the teachingpractice and methods of poetry singing; Chapter V is the conclusion andreflection, intending to reflect upon the existing problems in theconstruction of the content of the course and strive to put forward soundand reasonable solutions.
