Study On The Implementation Of STSE Education In Biology Teaching Of Senior High School

Social and technological development, the state of scientific literacy strong call for science education curriculum reform trends and China’s basic education curriculum reform makes STSE education came into being. STSE is an acronym for Science (Science), technology (Technology), society (Society), Environment (Environment) four English words. It emphasizes the interaction between the four focuses on training students to analyze and solve problems in the real social problems as well as decision-making ability.High school biology curriculum standards (trial) special emphasis that we should focus on student learning in real-life background biology, advocate students to solve practical problems in-depth understanding of the core concepts of biology, and be able to use biological principles and methods involved in the discussion of public affairs or to make personal decisions. Therefore, in the teaching of high school biology STSE education is also imperative.In this paper, a literature analysis of domestic and foreign the STSE research progress, clarify the meaning of STSE education, objectives and characteristics. I used a combination of interviews and questionnaires, on of Ruzhou five high school part of the first-line biology teachers and students to investigate. To examine the difficulties encountered in implementation of STSE education high school biology teaching and given the recommendations. Departure from the survey found, I used the content analysis method analyzes the STSE content in the new curriculum PEP compulsory part of high school biology textbooks. This article discusses the four implementation STSE education: classroom discussion method, role-playing, experimental inquiry approach and practical experience of law, and the problems that need attention, for biological educators to explore and learn with.
