With the advent of the information age,the country's requirements for talents have changed,and the call for improving citizens' scientific literacy has become stronger.The educational philosophy of STSE education is exactly in line with the training needs of scientific quality.STSE education is a new education paradigm evolved from STS education.It is a combination of science education and humanities education,and it is also a major trend in the current and future world science education reforms.Biology plays an important role in STSE education in science education.This research uses literature research method,questionnaire method,content analysis method and case teaching method to carry out research.Summarized and analyzed the teaching methods commonly used in STSE teaching through the literature research method and content analysis method.At the same time,based on the STSE education philosophy,the textbook analysis of the "Steady State and Environment" module of high school biology was carried out,and the "Steady State and Environment" was organized.The STSE content in the module;through the student questionnaire survey,we learned about the attitudes of high school students towards the implementation of STSE education,as well as the status quo of high school students' STSE concepts.The results show that students are in the "cognition of the definition of science and technology","science,technology and The understanding of the relationship between the three parties,the “methodology of science and technology” and the“concepts of ecological and environmental protection” are all at a low level.Through the survey of teacher questionnaires,we have learned about the implementation status of STSE education in middle schools,and aimed at the current implementation status.Discussed and provided a basis for the research and practice of this article.Taking senior second-year students as the experimental objects,using the teaching model based on the STSE educational philosophy,a three-month teaching practice research in the high school biology classroom.In the teaching experiment,two classes with no significantdifference in STSE concepts and biological performance of students were selected as the experimental class and the control class.The experimental class adopts the teaching mode based on the STSE education concept,and the control class adopts the traditional teaching mode.The results showed that the average score of biological performance in the experimental class was 2.39 points higher than that in the control class during the post-test,but there was no significant difference;in the analysis of the four dimensions of students' STSE concepts,the experimental class' s “cognition of science and technology” ","Understanding the relationship between science,technology and society","Science and technology methodology" and "Ecological and environmental protection concept",the scores of the four dimensions are all higher than the control class,and formed a significant difference(P < 0.05).This illustrates that students' recognition to STSE concept improved a lot.According to the research results of this article,this article puts forward 5 suggestions for implementing STSE education in high school biology teaching: 1.Find the right entry point to connect with life;2.Focus on the frontiers and applications of biological science and technology;3.Strengthen experimental investigation and practical investigation 4.Integrate humanities education and focus on the cultivation of emotion;5.Diversified evaluation system;in order to achieve the purpose of better implementation of STSE education in high school biology teaching.
