In recent years, the problem of migrant workers have beenconcerned in the three rural problems, but as the internal structureof migrant worker group, they have become the main body ofmigrant workers, at the same time, there are differences fromtraditional migrant worker of new problems and demands, this willhave a profound impact on the urbanization process and thedevelopment of our country. The new generation of migrant workersface problems of survival and development. They have a strongdesire to integrate into the city and to raise their professional skillsand comprehensive quality through occupation shills training.However, the effect of occupation skills training is unsatisfactorybecause of the effects of individual characteristics, traininginstitutions and social support. At present, the research of newgeneration of migrant workers’ occupation skills training is rare,throughout the past research, which starting from the perspective of social support is very rare, so has this research based on supportsocial important significance.Survey data of social intergration of rural-urban migrants in2013are adopted, new generation of migrant workers are theresearch object in this dissertation, it analyzes the currentsituation of social support, occupation skills training need andbehavior. Meanwhile, this dissertation analyzes individual, workand family characteristics of the new generation of migrantworkers, which has a significant impact on the occupation skillstraining through empirical research, and there is a particular focuson the influence of social support. Finally, this dissertation try toput forward some suggestions based on all the above research forthe new generation of migrant workers better integrated into thecity. The results are as below:(1) Most of the new generation migrant workers are satisfactorywith degree of social support, and dimensions of social support onthe individual, work and family characteristics of the newgeneration of migrant workers have significant differences, onlyobjective support there was no siginificant difference on differentwork characteristics; utilization of social support there was nosignificant difference in different family characteristics; in thetraining needs, training will, content, way and pay the cost of training in different individuals and work characteristics all havesignificant differences, only training methods has no significantdifferences in different family characteristics. In the trainingbehaviors, whether to participate in training, whether to bequalified for the present job and training effect have significantdifferences on different individual characteristics; workcharacteristics can directly influence the training effect and thecurrent job-qualified; family characteristics only has a direct effecton whether to participate in training.(2) The social support have a certain influence on occupationskills training needs and behaviors. For the new generation ofmigrant workers in cases with social support, in the individualcharacteristics, compared with women, men are more tended toattend the general skills training class; gender on trainingbehaviors were not significantly affected, but the older the newgeneration migrant worker, the better the training effect; the new ofgeneration migrant worker in high school education level are moreinclined to choose high and new technical training, rather than thegeneral skills training class; the unmarried are inclined to choosethe remote education, rather than internships in fields. In the workcharacteristics, compared with the new generation of migrantworkers in service industry, the manufacturing and construction’s are inclined to attend the general skills training class, rather thanthe training about knowledge and quality, the work’s type make animpact on the training behavior, the new generation of migrantworkers in service industry than the manufacturing andconstruction’s are more competent for the present job; the higherthe monthly income, the stronger the training will, rather than theless; the shorter working hours a day, the more willing toparticipate in high and new technical training, rather than thetraining about knowledge and quality.(3)The social support have a certain effects on theconsequences of the occupation skills training. From the economicperspective, in the individual characteristics, compared with thenew generation migrant worker is located in the east, the wageswhich are located in the central have been improved. From the pointof social consequences, in the individual characteristics, comparedwith the new generation migrant worker is located in the east, thepromotion of professional class which are located in the centralhave obtained; as for the work characteristics, the longer of yearsof working of the new generation migrant worker, the higher theprofessional classes.Based on the above result, we must actively build the system ofoccupation skills training, increase social support to the new generation migrant worker, strengthen the service work aftertraining, and draw up perfect regulations to ensure effectiveimplementation of occupation skills training.
