There are many words in Chinese can overlap,but the most common of which are verbs and adjectives overlap.There are many kinds of adjective overlaps,the structure is complex,the usage is diverse,after overlapping,its pronunciation and meaning may be different from the original words.In teaching Chinese as a foreign language,the adjective overlaps is one of the key point of teaching,meanwhile is also a big difficulty for overseas students in studying Chinese.Predecessors have a lot of ontology theory research results about adjective overlaps.But on the whole,there are still some deficiencies,on the one hand, many scholars believe that "Sha hu hu"and"Bai ai ai"also belongs to adjective overlaps,confused the concept of "adjective overlaps"and"overlaps of adjective",This paper carried out a clear distinction;on the other hand,the research of which is associated with teaching Chinese as a foreign language is few.Teaching strategy of adjectives overlap for learners of different levels and stages is proposed in this paper.It has the certain enlightenment in how to use adjective overlaps ontology research promotes the teaching Chinese as a foreign language,can help teachers to complete teaching tasks effectively,help students better understand and master the adjective overlaps,which is the purpose of this study.This paper based on the former scholar’s studies,focused investigation on the pronunciation, formation, syntactic function and semantic features of AA,ABB and AABB of adjective overlaps.By using these research results to guide the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.There are five chapters in this paper:The first chapter is the introduction part mainly explains the research status quo of the research methods,the reasons,significance of the study and source of corpus in this paper.The second chapter analyzed some adjective overlaps,discussed the principle and method of the definition of adjective overlaps.The third chapter from the pronunciation,formation, syntactic function and semantic four aspects respectively inspected the type of AA,ABB and AABB of adjective overlaps.The fourth chapter use specific examples to discuss the classroom teaching strategy of adjective overlaps.Proposed students of different levels in different learning stages should use different teaching strategies.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,point out the innovation of this study, proposed continue to study the related problems.
