Abstract/Summary:
Attention is one of the psychological phenomenons that we are veryfamiliar with. Without attention we can not do any activities successfully.Psychological research proved that only the information which is noticedcan be processed and memorized by learners, and has an important role instudying. With the proposed and development of attention theory, peoplebegan to integrate this theory with the second language acquisitionresearch, and use the related theories to guide the teaching practice. Butin the field of teaching Chinese as a second language, the applicationresearch of attention theory is quite few. So this thesis will apply theattention theory into the classroom teaching of teaching Chinese as asecond language, be aimed at get a series of suggestions and methods forguiding the classroom teaching of teaching Chinese as a second language,in order to let foreigner students put all attention at the content that teachtaught in the classroom as much as they can, thereby we can improve thequality of classroom teaching.The first half of this thesis gives an clearly introduction of attentiontheory in detail, which paved the way for the practice analysis below;then does the research about the factors which influence the attention inclassroom to both teachers and students by questionnaire and interview;after that, the results are statistically analyzed. The last half of this thesisputs forward some suggestions and methods for teaching Chinese as asecond language in classroom teaching. These suggestions and methodscan be used in teaching practice and help the teacher to improve thequality of classroom teaching.
