[Objective]In order to conduct a preliminary research to quantify and objectify the characteristics of cervical positioning rotating manipulation, this experiment analyzed the effects of various factors on the dynamics and kinematics parameters of the manipulation. And the data were dealt via statistics means, which makes the manipulation more standardized and stable.[Methods]Select25healthy male volunteers aging18to36, and invite Yu Tianyuan chief physician (who has25years of clinical work experience) from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine to make the manipulation on the axis of each volunteer. Collect the plantar dynamics parameters of the performer in the process of manipulating by using three-dimensional measuring force platform. The parameters should include the initial value of the plantar when the performer generates force and the instantaneous value when rotating. Collect the kinematics parameters of both the performer and the subjects in the process of manipulating by using infrared light spot high-speed motion capture system. The parameters should include the angle of the performer’s elbow, the resultant velocity and acceleration of the performer’s wrist, the angular velocity and the angle of the subjects’ neck, and the operating time. Analyze the effects of various factors (height, weight, sitting height, neck circumference, long neck, body mass index) on the dynamics and kinematics parameters of the manipulation by multivariate regression analysis. Deal with the parameters above in statistics, and quantify the characteristics of the manipulation preliminarily.[Results]1.The correlation analysis among dynamics parameters, kinematics parameters and the factors:The factors have no relationship with the plantar peak force, the resultant velocity and resultant acceleration of the performer’s wrist, and the rotated angle of the subjects’neck, which is concluded by multivariate regression analysis.2.The dynamics parameters of cervical positioning rotating manipulation during operation. The initial average resultant plantar force of the performer is711.29N. The average peak plantar force is776.26N. The average plantar force is59.77N.3.The kinematics parameters of cervical positioning rotating manipulation during operation. The performer:the average instantaneous resultant velocity of the wrist is132.97mm/s, and the average resultant acceleration is4703.21mm/s2; The initial average elbow angle when not generating force is68.31°, the initial average elbow angle when generating force is87.34°, and the instantaneous average elbow angle when pulling is91.33°The subjects:the average of pull phase forward bend angle is3.73°, the average lateral flexion angle is0.50°, and the average rotation angle is10.20°; the average forward bend angular velocity is9.57°/s, the average lateral flexion angular velocity is3.57°/s, and the average rotating angular velocity is9.16°/s.4.The time characteristics of cervical positioning rotating manipulation. The average time before pulling (when neck is rotated to the largest extend) is19.0765s, the average time when pulling is19.1870s, and the instantaneous average time of the rotating moment is0.1016s.The corresponding average time when the neck angle changed is19.1870s. Meanwhile, the corresponding average time of the performer’s plantar peak force is19.0991s. The average time difference is0.0808s.[Conclusions]1. As for cervical positioning rotating manipulation, the factors (weight, height, sitting height, neck circumference, long neck, body mass index) have no relationship with the plantar peak force, the resultant velocity and resultant acceleration of the performer’s wrist, and the rotated angle of the subjects’neck.2.The initial average resultant plantar force of the performer is711.29N. The average peak plantar force is776.26N. The average plantar force is59.77N, which is from the subjects neck is forward bend until the pulling is over.3.When pulling the subjects’neck, the angle is a recombination of three directions-forward bend, lateral flexion and rotation. The average of pull phase forward bend angle is3.73°, the average lateral flexion angle is0.50°, and the average rotation angle is10.20°. So the order should be the rotation angle, the forward bending angle and the lateral flexion angle.4.The instantaneous average time of the rotating moment is0.1016s, which is from the largest extend of the neck until the pulling is over.5.In average, the time of generating force from feet is faster than it is from hands, namely0.0808s. This can back up the theory that power is generated from the feet and let out from the hands.
