Objective: For the purpose of extending the methods for clinical treatment about Cervicogenic headache, exploring the safety and effective manipulations, and expanding the thought for clinical diagnosis and treatment, the study use the rotating and lifting manipulation on the upper cervical vertebra and the tendon-regulation on the neck region to treat the cervicogenic headache. After the treatment, observing the variation about the clinical symptom, and transforming them into values with the test-method,then analysing the date.To assess the safety of manipulations and discuss the mechanism action based on the verification of clinical effects. So as to offer the reference for apply the idea of “bones and muscles” to teat the disease and service the society. Methods: There are 67 patients who meet the diagnosis and inclusion criteria were divided into 33 patients in the observation group and 34 in the control group with the plain and stochastic way. Then analysing the basic date of the two groups. The observation group use the rotating and lifting manipulation on the upper cervical vertebra + the normal tendon-regulation on the neck region, and the control group use the normal tendon-regulation on the neck region.Time per operation: 20',once per day,and a full course of treatment is 10 times. At the same time, the observation group use the rotating and lifting manipulation on the upper cervical vertebra by per3 treatment times, total 3 times used among the course. The Somatosensory evoked potential stimulator to express the pain degree with the figure. After the treatment, making a statistic analysis for the date about the two group's pain degree and effective rate.Results:(1)PD value(Pain degree):The observation group is 695.93±401.13 pre-treat ment, the after is 101.87±48.10,Percentage is 85.36% of effective ratio; And the control group is 813.30±428.22 pre-treatment,the later is 150.90±70.76,Percen tage is 81.46%;By the data infer, pre therapy and post-treatment,P<0.05,distinctio-n is marked both the two group. In the meantime fishing the therapy,P<0.05,dis-tinction is also marked between two groups.(2)There is no adverse event occur when using the massage manipulation.(3)Effective rate:During the observation group,cured:5,remarkable:18,effective:3,invalid:4,total effective rate: 86.67%;Among the control group,cured:1,remark-able:15,effective:8,invalid:6,total effective rate:80.00%;By the data infer,P<0.05,d-ifference is marked.Conclusion:(1)Effective:The rotating and lifting manipulation on the upper cervical vertebra and the normal tendon-regulation on the neck region both can decrease the pain degree and improve clinical symptoms, but using the rotating and lifting manipulation on the upper cervical vertebra have an advantage compared with the control group which using the normal tendon-regulation on the neck region.(2)Safety:At the end of course, there is no adverse event occur,so it means that the manipulation which the study use is safety extent.(3)Generalizing:The observation group have more effective cases compared with control group, and percentage of effective ratio is also taller. It is concluded that the rotating and lifting manipulation on the upper cervical vertebra should be suggested to apply in clinical treatment.
