A Preliminary Study Tourette Syndrome Features

Objective:Through collating the modem literature and explore the characteristics traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in children with Multiple Tics’S syndrome,improve the level of diagnosis and treatment of TCM for this disease.Methods:The study through analyze the literatures that was published by collecting the publication of Multiple Tics’S syndrome pediatric literature in VIP Data, Wang fang Data and CNKI, and establish database for the disease location, character, pathogenesis and the main types of traditional Chinese Medicine.The obtained data were analyzed statistically by rate analysis, frequency analysis and cluster analysis, and determining the sings from the formula, in this way can explore the characteristics traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in children with Multiple Tics’S syndrome.Results:Through the collation and analysis to the substantial modem literature, This sit of Multiple Tics’S syndrome was liver(94.3%), spleen(43.3%), kidney(21.3%), heart(19.1%).The pathogenic factors of the disease is wind(90.1%), phlegm(53.2%), organs weakness(52.1%). fire (32.6%).The main reason to cause the children with Multiple Tics’S syndrome is that the etiology and pathogenesis for the Liver wind agitation(41.8%), deficient spleen and liver hyperactivity(31.2%), stagnated QI transforming into fire(22.0%),spleen poly sputum(22.0%), yin asthenia causing wind(18.4%).The frequent exercise-induced symptoms were:eyes blinking(80.4%), nose jerking(44.7%),shoulder shrugging(44.7%), grin(41.1%), head jerking(38.3%), hand and arm moving(34.0%), abdomen jerking(31.9%), leg twitch(27.7%),facial muscle spasming(19.9%), body swaying(13.5%), doing odd(8.5%).The frequent of vocal tic symptoms were:throat clearing(27.0%),fouhnouthed voice(25.5%),throat different sound(23.4%),phlegm rale in the throat (12.8%), coughing sound(5.7%).The related symptoms with the symptoms were:irascibility and fidgety(27.7%), restless sleep(26.2%), impaired concentration(26.2%), hyperactivity(25.5%),yellow urine (21.3%), dry stool(16.3%), anepithymia(15.6%), dreaminess(14.9%), Twitch strong(14.9%),marasmus(12.1%).The main type of the Chinese medicine for curing Multiple Tics’S syndrome were:extinguish wind(90.1%), calm the liver(80.9%), dissolving phlegm(52.5%), clearing heat(44.0%), tonifying spleen(40.4%), nourishing yin(37.6%), Calm the nerves(34.8%), regulating the flow of qi(29.1%).This study use the statistical methods of frequency analysis and cluster analysis for those type of the Chinese medicine, and get result that the Multiple Tics’S syndrome had4main pattern of syndromes:Liver wind agitation, spleen poly sputum, stagnated QI transforming into fire, yin asthenia causing wind.Conclusion:This sit of Multiple Tics’S syndrome was liver; The pathogenic factors of the disease is wind; The main reason to cause the children with Multiple Tics’S syndrome is that the etiology and pathogenesis for the Liver wind agitation; The main pattern of the syndromes:Liver wind agitation, spleen poly sputum, stagnated QI transforming into fire, yin asthenia causing wind.
