Objective:Clinical study on treatment of tension-type headache (TTH) for Qinggan Xiehuo Decoction, establish optimum dose of Qinggan Xiehuo Decoction, optimize Traditional Chi-nese Medicine treatment of TTH.Methods:According to inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, we select35experimenters, who are diagnosed with frequent episodic tension-type headache, and anger on the inflamma-tion by traditional Chinese medicine diagnostic criteria. The experimenters that are randomized into the original-dose group and variable-dose group take traditional Chinese medicine for28days. The original dose group are taking medium dose Qinggan Xiehuo Decoction, and the variable-dose group are taking variable-dose Qinggan Xiehuo Decoction in the light of the TTH condition degree. We evaluate the indicators before and after taking the medicine, those indica-tors include the headache days, extent, duration, VAS score and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome. During the test, the experimenters should avoid taking other types of drugs, except for the essential drugs for chronic diseases. The data is analyzed by SPSS20.0. The measure-ment data is analyzed by two-sample t-test for independent samples. The heterogeneity data of variance and ordinal data are analyzed by rank sum test, P<0.05is considered statistically sig-nificance. The count data is analyzed by chi-square test, a=0.05, P<0.05is considered statisti-cally significance.Result:34experimenters have completed with the clinical study, the original-dose group and variable-dose group both have17experimenters. The improvement of TTH indicators:After the treatment, the two groups’ indicators include the headache days, extent, duration, VAS score decrease significantly compared to the previous treatment. The significant effective rate of the original-dose group is35.3%and the total effective rate is83.4%. The significant effective rate of variable-dose group is47%and the total effective rate is94.1%.The two groups of the effi-cacy of TTH have little significant difference in the distribution (P>0.05).The improvement of TCM symptoms:After the treatment, the significant’ effective rate of the original-dose group is17.6%and the total effective rate is76.5%. The significant effective rate of variable-dose group is23.5%and the total effective rate is88.2%. The two groups of the improvement of traditional Chinese medicine symptoms have little significant difference in the distribution (P>0.05).Conclusion:Qinggan Xiehuo Decoction has a good effect on patients with TTH. It also has a regulatory effect on reducing the headache, seizure frequency and traditional Chinese medicine symptoms and so on. The two groups’ treatment of TTH have little significant advantages. The Qinggan Xiehuo Decoction which is from famous TCM doctors’clinical experiences have rea-sonable prescription, and it has no need to be changed the dose when we using.
