Context of the studyPanic Disorder, PD, also known as acute anxiety disorder, is a common type of neurosis. Panic Disorder is a disease that patient experiences the unexpected assault which clinical manifestation is mainly acute physical symptoms. PD is a serious chronic mental illness, which lifetime prevalence of1.5%to1.5%. It could occur at any sex or age group and mostly occur in adults group-age range is fifteen to forty. The domestic research shows that Panic disorder point’s prevalence is0.17%to0.39%. It could be estimated that around28.3%of people have suffered at least once PD. And1.6%-5%of patients in primary health care institution have suffered panic disorder. So the correct diagnosis and effective treatment of PD is particularly important.Research objectivesBy the method of multi-center and randomized controlled comparisons, doing the Prospective clinical study of the Nerves calm chi treatments for heart and gallbladder qi deficiency type of panic disorder’s Traditional Chinese medicine treatment and the objective evaluation of the clinical effects, clarifying the characteristics and advantages, setting up the diagnosis and treatment scheme of Nerves calm chi treatments for heart and gallbladder qi deficiency type of panic disorder firstly.Method:Dividing the patients who meet the standard into control group and experimental group by the method of multi-center and randomized controlled comparison. Experimental group took traditional Chinese medicine treatment, while the control group took the western medicine treatment of paroxetine hydrochloride. The course of both groups is12weeks. Evaluating the traditional Chinese and western medicine clinical curative effect for the treatment of PD by dynamic observing the patients’ changes of Hamilton anxiety scale and self rating scale’ score before and after treatment.Research results:1.The baseline comparison:The baseline analysis of demographic characteristic:there’s no sense in statistic area for the difference among the patient demographic characteristics such as age, gender, height, weight distribution (P>0.05) Vital signs baseline analysis:the comparison of patients’systolic pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, breathing and other Vital signs baseline. The result shows that here’s no sense of statistic area for Shrink pressure, diastolic blood pressure, heart rate, pulse, breathing difference between two groups (P>0.05). The baseline analysis of past medical history and history of allergy:there’s no sense in statistic area for patients’ past medical history and history of allergy distribution (P>0.05). The baseline analysis of disease occurring:there’s no sense in statistic area for patients’ disease occurring distribution (P>0.05).2.Rating scale analysis of heart and gallbladder qi deficiency symptoms:There’s no scores’ difference between Heart and gallbladder qi deficiency symptom of these two groups’patients (P>0.05), so the data is comparable. From the4th week treatment, the improvement difference between the experimental group and control group in patients with heart and gallbladder qi deficiency score that makes sense (P<0.01)3.HAMA rating scale analysis:There’s no HAMA rating scores’ difference between two group patients before treatment in statistic area (P>0.05), so the data is comparable. From the4th week treatment, the difference between two group patients’HAMA total score makes sense in static area (P<0.01).4.SAS Rating scale analysisThere’s no SAS rating scores’ difference between two group patients before treatment in statistic area (P>0.05), so the data is comparable. From the4th week treatment, the difference between two group patients’ SAS total score makes sense in static area(P<0.01).Conclusion:The effect is desirable of Nerves on volunteers and paroxetine hydrochloride in the treatment of heart and gallbladder qi deficiency type of panic disorder, and curative effect could last a long time through long time observation. Heart and gallbladder qi deficiency symptoms rating scale is the best among HAMA rating scale and SAS rating scale. In the treatment of heart and gallbladder qi deficiency syndrome symptoms, the Nerves and tzu method is obvious better than paroxetine hydrochloride group. The result shows Nerves and tzu method does well in Heart and gallbladder deficiency.
