Eye Acupuncture Therapy Combined With Western Medicine Clinical Efficacy Of Prozac Depression After Stroke

Purpose: To illustrate the efficacy of eye acupuncture treatment ofpost-stroke depression through the observation of clinical curative effect ofeye acupuncture combined with western medicine Prozac in the treatment ofpost-stroke depression, So as to enrich the treatment of PSD.Object and method:60cases of patients with cerebral infarction and inaccordance with the test criteria who are selected from the Department ofNeurology ward inpatients and outpatients and are randomly divided into atreatment group of30patients and a control group of30cases according to theorder of admission. The two groups of patients are treated in accordance withthe basis of the Department of Neurology, the control group takes dose of Prozac20mg, once a day and the treatment group uses eye acupuncture therapy which areobserved a total of three courses, a course of treatment includes once a day,every needle retention30minutes, and continuous acupuncture for14days twoweeks. Applying the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAMD)24,clinical degreeof neurological deficits Scale (SSS) and the activities of daily living (ADL)scale score (Barthel Index) before treatment, two weeks after treatment, fourweeks after the treatment, six weeks after treatment and evaluating adverse drugreactions with the side effects of antidepressants Scale (SERS). The resultingdata using SPSS17.0statistical software for data analysis.Results:1、 There is no significant difference in treatment between the treatment andcontrol groups HAMD, SSS, BI scale scores before the treatment (P>0.05),Since2weeks after the treatment, the treatment group and the control group HAMD scoresshow significant difference (P<0.05)；4weeks after treatment, the SSS, BI scoresof the treatment group and the control group have significant difference (P<0.05).Not only the treatment group but also the control group before treatmentand after treatment HAMD, SSS, BI scores have significant difference (P<0.05),itshows eye acupuncture and Prozac can improve the symptoms of depression patients and the patient’s neurologic impairment and activities of daily living, but italso shows eye acupuncture combines with Prozac treatment group in improvingdepression, neurological deficits, activities of daily living is better thanProzac control group at the same time.2、 After three courses of treatment, the treatment group the total effectiverate was86.67%, the total efficiency of the control group was63.33%, thedifference between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.05).Thetotal effective rate of treatment group was higher than that of the control group.Conclusion: Clinical therapeutic effect of eye acupuncture therapy combinedwith Prozac in the treatment of post-stroke depression is better than that ofProzac in the treatment of post-stroke depression, eye acupuncture therapycombines with Prozac can obviously improve the symptoms of depression patientsand the patient’s neurologic impairment and activities of daily living, thetreatment is safe and effective and has little toxic and side effect, it isworth the clinical trial.
