Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) treatment by taking herbal medicine internally and massage manipulation externally on depression with neck vertebrae disease.Methods:Select225depressive patients with neck vertebrae disease, who are up to the clinical standards of diagnosis and exclusion, and the TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs of cardiac-splenic asthenia or of stagnation of Qi due to depression of the liver, heart-blood asthenia and phlegm-Qi joint hindrance. Then divide randomly these225patients into3groups-combined Chinese patent medicine and massage group, Chinese medicine group and massage group---75patients each group. For combined Chinese patent medicine and massage group, the patients are treated by orally administration of taking Guipi Wan (Bolus of Spleen Command the Blood),Chinese patent drug Twice per day, one pill for once and massage manipulation such as dredging the channel, hitting vital points, bone setting and resetting etc. For Chinese medicine group, the patients are treated by only taking Guipi Wan (Bolus of Spleen Command the Blood) internally, twice per day, one pill for once. For massage group, the patients are treated by only massage manipulation such as dredging the channel, hitting vital points, bone setting and resetting etc. Four weeks is seen as a treatment term, during which the patients, who grow worse or cannot endure the above treatment, will be viewed as failure treatment. Analyze the patients in the three different groups statistically, according to their clinical treatment effect, clinical symptoms evaluation, HAMD and SAD to observe the practicability of Traditional Chinese Medical (TCM) treatment by taking herbal medicine internally and massage manipulation externally on depression with neck vertebrae disease. Results:The combined Chinese patent medicine and massage group, the Chinese medicine group and the massage group are analyzed separately and statistically and all of them occurred differences in statistics(P<0.01) The clinical symptoms evaluation, HAMD and SAD of the patients treatment by both Chinese medicine and massage occurred differences before and after treatment, so did the statistical analysis of the Chinese medicine group and the massage group. Conclusions:TCM treatments have an effect on Depressive patients with somatization disorder, and the treatment plan of TCM differentiation of symptoms and signs combined with acupuncture and massage manipulation is practical to clinic treatment. Orally administration of taking Guipi Wan (Bolus of Spleen Command the Blood), massage manipulation such as dredging the channel, hitting vital points, bone setting and resetting etc can significantly improve and control the mental, physical, neck vertebrae symptoms and signs of depressive patients with neck, vertebrae disease.
