Historical and cultural tourist spots are important and unique tourism space in China. Its landscape studies should be extended to other more landscape forms rather than only limited to the color, shape or function of visual landscape. Soundscape, as a new area of landscape research, actually provides new ideas for theoretical research of tourism landscape and practical applications.On the base of summarizing the related research on soundscape, this paper discussed soundscape sound form the other elements of landscape. Taking the correlation and related problems of soundscape, comprehensive landscape and tourists perception as a the new starting point, this paper integrated use of landscape science, semi logy, psychology, Systems theory and other multi-disciplinary theories and methods. What’s more, by using the methods such as laboratory experiment method, field measurement method and questionnaire method, etc., it analyzed the soundscape perception mechanism in historical and cultural tourism spots. This paper takes Nanjing Confucius Temple-Qinhuai Sights as a case study, and considers the optimization design of soundscape tourist.The main conclusions are as follows:(1) Define the concept of soundscape tourism. Discusses the historical and cultural tourism scenic spot tourism landscape structure, and emphatically analyzes the historical and cultural tourism scenic landscape of physical attributes and cultural attributes.(2) Analyses the Double ideographic structure of soundscape by using the theory of semiotics. Found that soundscape of historical and cultural tourism spots have historical and cultural significance and tourist emotion mean double meaning. In certain conditions can promote each other both sides of the experience, and to further explore the tourist perception of sound historical and cultural tourism landscape type rule and process.(3) By creating similar audio-visual environment to typical historical and cultural tourism spots, using the method of laboratory experiment, On the basis of Double ideographic structure of soundscape, building an audio-visual coupling model and coupling evaluation index system. Analyzes the coupling mechanism of soundscape and landscape in historical and cultural tourism spots.(4) Take Nanjing Confucius Temple-Qinhuai Sights as an example, use sound level meter for acoustical measurement. By questionnaire, interview to understand visitors’ subjective perception. Through these method, generalize soundscape characteristics of the case area, the relationship with landscape, and Visitors experience problems.
