"Poti" calligraphy is the significant contribution of Wang Xianzhi to the Chinese calligraphy, have a far-reaching influence on the later calligraphers. Contemporary calligraphy creation compared with ancient from shape and composition, aesthetic pursuit and other aspects have undergone great changes, especially the "aesthetic style broken body of calligraphy in Contemporary Exhibition Hall of great impact and expressive force, is the modern consciousness strong artistic form. Therefore, Wang Xianzhi "Poti" the commitment to the art of calligraphy calligraphy ontological status, inspired by the contemporary style, improve the quality of calligraphy creation is very important. However, the Wang Xianzhi "Poti" calligraphy is no systematic analysis and research. In this paper, through literature review, comparative analysis and other methods, to "Poti" concept, the life of Wang Xianzhi and Wang Xianzhi "Poti" calligraphy and other aspects are briefly; the artistic characteristics of Wang Xianzhi "Poti" calligraphy, to discuss its originality from the perspective of aesthetics from the angle of aesthetic characteristics of form; on Wang Xianzhi’s "broken" in calligraphy are analyzed. Finally, this paper discusses the influence of Wang Xianzhi "Poti" of ancient calligraphers calligraphy, significance as well as in the form of contemporary calligraphy creation.
