Study On The Stylistic Characteristics Of Wang Siren's Essays

Wang Siren is a prominent litterateur in the later Ming Dynasty.Many of his excellent Xiaopin have been handed down.In his Xiaopin creation,Wang Siren always adhere to the theoretical guidance of against imitation.He depends upon his rich knowledge and experience unceasing trial and error on the road of literary creation.Lots of good works have mushroomed,Wang Siren forms his own stylistic features,and gets a place in the literary arena.Inimitable text form and facetious artistic style are the most remarkable characteristics of Wang Siren’s Xiaopin.Wang Siren used them break the restraint of traditional prose and form his own Xiaopin.All of these characteristics can be generalized as Poti.And there are really many phenomenons of Poti in his Xiaopin.So this paper regards Poti as the general stylistic features of Wang Siren’s Xiaopin.Exploring the specific stylistic features of his Xiaopin in genre and style.There are four chapters in this paper.The first chapter focuses on the Poti.Introducing what is Poti.Generalizing which way does Wang Siren choose to let Poti come true.Analyzing why Poti forms in his Xiaopin.The second chapter analyzes some representative Xiaopin from Wang Siren.Seeking the phenomenon of Poti in them,and explore their innovation which brings by Poti.Thinking how did Wang Siren do to break traditional format and why he chose these genres.The third chapter focuses on the facetious style of Wang Siren’s Xiaopin.Explaining his style is a manifestation of Poti.And analyze which ways does Wang Siren use to form his facetious style.The fourth chapter explores the status and influence of Wang Siren’s Xiaopin.Combined with the attitudes of the literati towards Wang’s Xiaopin in the later Ming Dynasty,and the situation of collection about his Xiaopin to explore his status.Then combine some works and the effect of Wang Siren’s Xiaopin in the construction of new literature in modern China.Analyzing the influence of his works to Zhang Dai and modern new literature.There are many researches about Wang Siren’s Xiaopin.Most of them are research from the content of text.Only a few researches involve stylistics.This paper uses the way of from the general to the special.Regards Poti a concept in stylistics as a clue.Exploring the features about genre and style in Wang’s Xiaopin.Trying to reflect the development trend of the later Ming Dynasty’s literary arena,show the influence which brings by Poti.And hope let people know more about Xiaopin,especially Wang Siren’s Xiaopin.
