This report is the introduction, analysis and summary of the author’s interpreting practice of Wild China—Shangri-La. Directed by the three principles,’skopos, coherence, fidelity,’of functionalist Skopos Theory, the report tries to summarize the interpreting strategies that the author used in her practice, especially the deducting translation, literal translation, and poetic language using translation. The author also sums up the problems and difficulties that she met and puts forward some reflections and suggestions for future interpreting.The report has five parts. Part one gives a brief introduction of interpreting task; Part two analyzes its language features and the preparation of the interpreting; Part three lists the matters needing attention for interpreting the documentary; Part four is a summary of interpreting strategies used under the direction of Skopos Theory; the last part is the conclusion covering the problems and difficulties and the reflections and suggestions toward them.
