Chinese And Korean Systemic Action Verbs

Since1980s, the studies of valence grammatical theory and verbs have been two hot topics. The valence grammatical study of modern Chinese verbs is just the intersection of those two topics.Systematic action verbs are a special kind of verbs. There are both common grounds and differences in systematic action verbs between Chinese and Korean. This article tries to observe and study the systematic action verbs of modern Chinese and modern Korean which combines the language characters of Chinese and Korean based on former researches. It also applies with the Three-Plane Theory. This article includes five parts:This first chapter is introduction, which mainly elaborates the research thoughts, the research methods, the meaning of the selected topic, the research range, the corpus resource, the related former research, and the definition and classification of systematic action verbs in Chinese and Korean.The second chapter makes a comparison of Chinese systematic action verbs and Korean systematic action verbs in meaning. At first, it makes an analysis of the semantic features, which includes the semantic features analysis of Chinese systematic action verbs and the semantic features analysis of Korean systematic action verbs. Then it makes an analysis of the semantic roles, which includes the semantic roles of Chinese systematic action verbs and the semantic roles of Korean systematic action verbs.The third chapter discusses the syntactic collocation of Chinese systematic action verbs and Korean systematic action verbs. At first it discusses the grammatical attributes of Chinese systematic action verbs and Korean systematic action verbs, which includes the grammatical attributes of Chinese systematic action verbs and grammatical attributes of Korean systematic action verbs. Then it discusses the syntactic representations of Chinese systematic action verbs and Korean systematic action verbs, which includes the syntactic representations of Chinese systematic action verbs and the syntactic representations of Korean systematic action verbs.The fourth chapter discusses the pragmatic features of Chinese systematic action verbs and Korean systematic action verbs. At first, it discusses the pragmatic features of Chinese systematic action verbs which include the frequency of words, sentence distribution and omission of necessary parts. Then it discusses the pragmatic features of Korean systematic action verbs which include the frequency of words, sentence distribution and omission of necessary parts.The fifth chapter summarizes the whole content of this article and points out its shortages.
