Cartoon image has been playing an increasingly important role in our day-to-daylife. This paper, taking “The design and application of cartoon image symbolization inbrand visual image” as the research object, is divided into three parts. In this thesis,theoretical study of decoration arts are carried out from semiology.First of all, by studying and understanding Cartoon and Cartoon image, we haslearned and generalized the definition, type, evolution and style of Cartoon image. Thepaper puts forward the concept about cartoon image symbolization, then analysis thecharacteristics of the cartoon image symbolization, and utilizes the semioticinterpretation of the significances of the cartoon image.In this paper, it makes acontrastive analysis on the different cases of the application of cartoon image symbol,and summarizes characteristics of the cartoon image symbol.Second, this part we will firstly spread out discussion standing basically on thedesign and application of brand visual image, and carry on the analysis to different areasof the application of cartoon image symbol cases. Then we will have deep impression ofthe application of cartoon image symbols and fire the imagination of many designers.Third, this paper explore the method of cartoon image symbolization and itsapplication.Finally, this paper set forth how to design and apply the Cartoon image symbols.The conclusion, suggestion of the further topic and the weakness of this paper havebeen set forth in last part.
