The Reconstruciton Of The Archive Of Ur-~dIg-alim Fattener(S46-AS8), Domestic Animal Official Ur-~dNanna(SS3-SS4) And Weapon Administrator Dayyanu-mi-sar(S45-AS8) Of Ur-â…¢ Dynasty

During Ur III Dynasty, with the consolidation of the regime, the economy of the country was developing more and more faster. To manage the cattle which was delivered by other cities, a large animal tribute center by the name of the Office of Puzris-Dagan, which is now the Drehem site in Iraq, was built by the king Sulgi of Ur III dynasty at his38th year’s dominance. In Drehem, archaeologists found a lot of economical archives of the Ur III Dynasty.The Office of Puzris-Dagan, as the economic center of the Ur III Dynasty, was built to manage the tributes to the royal family sent by other sites, the receiving and withdrawing work, and there were a lot of records about royal family who sent cattle or sacrifice for gods and distributed animals to soldiers. In view of the high status of the Office of Puzris-Dagan in the study of the economy of the Ur III Dynasty, the world of international study of Assyriology is going on widely, but the fragmented work of the archaeologist of different countries leads to the archives were delivered to various site of the world, and many achievements are not well integrated. To make a clear recognize of the Office of Puzris-Dagan, the Institute for the History of Ancient Civilizations (IHAC) started the Reconstruction of the Archives of the Ur III Dynasty ("Drehem Project") in the year of2000. And this paper is a part of the whole project.The work in this paper is to reconstruct the archive of Ur-Ig-alim fattener, Ur-Nanna cattle official and Dayyanu-mi-sar weapon administrator. The approach is listing the archive according to the chronological order, and presented in three languages:1) Sumerian transliterations,2) English translations, and3) Chinese translations. Ur-Ig-alim (S46vi-AS8xi), in charge of receiving and withdrawing the oxen and sheep that delivered from other citys to the royal family. Ur-Nanna (SS3iii/3-SS4ix/14) domestic animal official, in charge of sending live animals and delivering dead animals. Dayyanu-mi-sar (S45v-AS4i, AS8i) weapon administrator, in charge of receiving weapon and distributing weapon to generals.Through the reconstruction and study of the archive of the three officials, we can get a clear look of the basic work of the Office of Puzris-Dagan, and their routine in the office. This can supply a lot of archive useful details to the study of the the Office of Puzris-Dagan and the study of politics, economy, religions, diplomatics and military of Ur III Dynasty.
