Writing is known as the most difficult one amongst the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing in the process of acquisition of a second foreign language. However, due to the weakness in communication, the research on Chinese writing and Chinese writing textbook have not achieved enough attention, which could not satisfy the rapid development of writing lessons of TCSL. On the basis of my realization of the importance and necessity of the research on the textbooks for writing in the Chinese teaching as a foreign language, the comparative analysis method is applied in this paper, which studies the old and new editions of 《the developing Chinese—intermediate writing》, to explore the problems existing in the present textbooks.The paper consists of four chapters.Chapter1is an introductory one, mainly describing the meaning of the research and analyzing the importance of writing in the teaching of Chinese.Chapter2: The old and new editions of 《The developing Chinese writing》are compared in a specific manner, mainly from teaching program and the main part of the two textbooks.Chapter3:Combining the comparison, it gives my own suggestions about compiling Chinese writing textbooks of TCSL.Chapter4: A summary of this study, which points out the advantage and deficiency in compiling, and puts forward some relevant suggestions.The paper compares all parts of the two Chinese writing textbooks, in the hope of working as a possible material for compiling of the writing textbooks in TCSL.
