This thesis tries to combine the successful enlightenment from <New PracticalChinese Reader> and <New Concept English>, which are pretty influential teachingmaterials in the field of TESOL, mainly decide to have some experience for writingChinese teaching material.Chapter one is the preface of the paper, including the meaning and the previousachievement of the study of the two teaching materials and the assessment forteaching materials.Chapter two draws lesson from foregoing achievement about assessingtextbooks, and mainly tests the two teaching materials from idea, structure, texts,words, grammar and exercises in based on the formal fruit.Chapter three is about four questionnaires for people who are using the twoteaching materials, in based on the achievements of previous study, trying toinvestigate the satisfaction about the two textbooks. And have a summarization ofdata from the questionnaires, deciding to conclude the evaluation from the users forthe two books.Chapter four concludes the subjective and objective opinions, trying to havesome successful enlightenment for TCSL teaching materialsChapter five summarizes our viewpoints. It also tries to offer someenlightenments and references to TCSL and textbook compilation.
