Abstract/Summary:
Bulbus Lilii (The scale leaf of Lilium lancifolium Thunb. Lilium brownii F. E. Brownii var. Viridulum Baker. Lilium pumilum DC.). is a traditional drug, which can be used to nourish yin and lung, and to help to calm the nervous. The crude one is contributed to people’s nervous, and it is often made to treat restlessness of deficient type, palpitation, insomnia, dreaminess and trance fter the fever. And the function of relieving cough is strengthened by the honey-processed one. And it is mainly utilized in yin deficiency with blood in phlegm. Although the utilization of the Bulbus Lilii have more than two- thousand -year history, the study of the mechanism of Bulbus Lilii can be rarely seen in literature. This paper is divided into three parts, which study on Bulbus Lilii literature, chemical constituents and pharmacodynamic mechanism. The first part: literature studies, including premise and literature analysis, which offer the thought for the experiment and establish the basis of literature. The second part: studies on the experiment. This part include the research of chemical constituents and pharmacodynamic mechanism ofBulbus Lilii. And it includes eight points as follows:1. Study on the low polarity parts of Bulbus Lilii, Through pharmaco-experiment, six constituents were isolated and purified from Bulbus Lilii by solvent extraction and various column chromatography. They are n-tetratriacontyl alcohol, eicosanic acid, heneicosanoic acid, P-hydroxy benzaldehyde, stigmasterol. andβ-daucosterol.2. Study on the polysaccharide of Bulbus Lilii, Establish the best extractinon of polysaccharide in Bulbus Lilii. And pured with DEAE cellulose column. The analysis of polysaccharides of Bulbus Lilii by HPCE. The result showed that polysaccharides of Bulbus Lilii is composed of glucose, arabinose, mannose and galactose.3. Determination of polysaccharide and stigmasterol in Bulbus Lilii. Establish the best way to determine the polysaccharide in Bulbus Lilii. The results showed that the content of polysaccharide in honey-processed Bulbus Lilii about double to raw ones. And it illustrates that the proportion of polysaccharide in honey-processed Bulbus Lilii is two times than that in the raw one. Determine stigmasterol by GC-MS. The results showed that the contents of stigmasterol in Bulbus Lilii are no different between two kinds Bulbus Lilii. After decoction the contents of honey-processed ones are raw ones 20 times.4. Study on the function of anti-inflammatory and anti-tussis of stigmastero. The results shows that the stigmasterol can relieve cough and can be against mouse inflammation. And it can increase the solubility in water-extraction of honey-processed Bulbus Lilii. The conclusion is that the stigmasterol is one of the effective components of honey-processed Bulbus Lilii, which can enhance the function of anti-tussis.5. The effect on normal TE. The results of the experiments show that the raw and honey-processed Bulbus Lilii can both promote the activities of the SDH. And there are no significant difference between the raw Bulbus Lilii and the honey-processed one.6. The effect on immune function of Bulbus Lilii polysaccharide. The results illustrates that the proportion of polysaccharide in honey-processed Bulbus Lilii is two times than that in the raw one. The pharmacy-experiment shows Bulbus Lilii polysaccharide can promote its special or non-special immunity function without significant differences. And it can be inferred that the immunity function of the honey-processed Bulbus lilii is stronger than the raw one, for the polysaccharide has the dose-effect relationship. With the same quantities of the two, the honey-processed Bulbus Lilii has a stronger function than the raw one in the pharmacy- experiment.7. The protection ofBulbus Lilii on the VEC: by means of the determination of MTT、apoptosis and T-SOD, it shows that raw Bulbus Lilii can protect the damaged VEC. And the mechanism of action is related to the inhabitation of the VEC from apoptosis, reduction of the free radical and the function of strengthening the action of antioxygen.8. The HPLC studies on administering serum of raw and honet-processed Bulbus Lilii. Through pouring physic liquor into rat and drawing serum after four days, the components of serum with disposal then will be analyzed by HPLC. The spectrum shows that secondary polarity components in raw Bulbus Lilii are more than in honey-processed one. But at the same time, the small polarity components in honey-processed Bulbus Lilii increased greatly than the raw one. Thus, it can be concluded that the main effect of raw Bulbus Lilii on VEC is its secondary polarity components. The third part: discussion.
