Objectives: To observe the clinical efficacy of elongated needle through thorn trunkmuscle in the treatment of equilibrium disorder after cerebral stroke and to provide abasis for therapy in clinical applications.Methods:60cases of patients with test conditions were randomly divided intoacupuncture trunk muscle group (treatment group) and rehabilitation group (controlgroup),30cases in each group. All patients were symptomatic treated in neurologyequally. Patients in TG were used the elongated needle through thorn trunk muscletreament. TG were selected points on the dorsal and ventral trunk muscles alternatelytreated with evening reinforcing-reducing method. Every time the treatment lasted for40minutes, and hand-manipulate the needles during the once a day, six times a week, four weeks forming a treatment course. The CG were with conventional physicalrehabilitation therapy, the course of treatment with the TG. Before the treatment, as wellas after the treatment, Berg Scale(BBS), Fugl-Meyer balance function assessmenttable(FMB), and the modified Barthel index (MBI) of daily living scale (ADL) pointswere assessed according to60patients’ situation. Clinical efficacy rate were calculatedby the scoring results, observing the treatment and control groups on post-strokepatients with balance disorders balance, and daily living skills to improve the situation,in order to compare the clinical efficacy of two treatment methods.Results:(1)Within the two groups before and after treatment group comparison:patients with balance and activities of daily living score results were significantlyimproved than before, with a significant difference (P<0.01).(2) The comparision ofBerg between the two groups after treatment: The rating of the treatment group wassignificantly higher, followed by significant differences (P<0.05).(3)The comparisionof Fugl-Meyer between the two groups after treatment: the treatment group score was higher than that in the control group, and it was significant (P<0.05).(4) Thecomparision of modified Barthel index between the two groups after treatment: thetreatment group’s scores were significantly higher than that in the control group, andthere existed significant differences (P<0.05).(5) The comparison of two groups ofclinical efficacy after treatment: the treatment group was significantly superior to thecontrol group, and there were significant differences (P<0.05).Conclusions:(1)Both of the elongated needle through thorn trunk muscle andconventional rehabilitation acupuncture can improve symptoms of post-stroke patientswith disorder balance, and improve their daily living activities ability.(2) The methodof elongated needle through thorn trunk muscle can improve symptoms of post-strokepatients with disorder balance, and improve the daily living activities ability, which isbetter than the traditional way.
