Objective:To observe the improvement of symptoms of urinary retention and the clinical efficacy in patients with post-stroke urinary retention treated by elongated needle penetration, and to explore clinical mechanism and application value of elongated needle penetration in treatment of post-stroke urinary retention,so as to enrich diversity of acupuncture and moxibustion treatment of post-stroke urinary retention and to provide new options for patients.Method:In this study,60 cases of patients with post-stroke urinary retention were randomly divided into a treatment group of 30 cases and a control group of 30 cases.Patients in both groups were received basic treatment, the treatment group was treated with elongated needle penetration, and the control group was treated with conventional acupuncture. Both groups were received treatment once a day,10 times as a course.Bladder residual urine volume and bladder function score were statistically analyzed before treatment and after 2 courses of treatment, respectively, and to evaluated clinical efficacy of two treatment methods in combination with clinical symptoms.Result:(1)Two groups of patients were compared in general information such as age, stroke type, gender, and disease duration, the results showed that those were not significant difference(P> 0.05),which were comparable.(2)Comparison of differences between two groups:the difference was not statistically significant in bladder residual urine volume and bladder function score between two groups before treatment(P>0.05),indicating that two groups of patients can be compared. After treatment, the difference of bladder residual urine volume and bladder function score between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),indicating thattwo groups had different curative efficacy.Comparison of intra-group differences:bladder residual urine volume and bladder function score of two groups decreased after2 courses of treatment, indicating the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)There was a difference in overall efficacy between two groups of patients(P<0.05),the total effective rate in the treatment group was 93.33% and cure rate was50.00%;Total effective rate and cure rate in treatment group were better than those in control group with total effective rate of 80.00% and cure rate of 26.67%.Conclusion:(1)The clinical symptoms was improved in patients with post-stroke urinary retention treated by both elongated needle penetration and conventional acupuncture therapy, and the improvement of clinical symptoms of urinary retention in elongated needle penetration group was greater than that in control group.(2)The overall clinical efficacy of elongated needle penetration therapy was superior to conventional acupuncture treatment.
