Analysis The Efficacy Of Locking Compression Plate On Die-punch Fracture Of Distal Radius

OBJECTIVE:To disscuss the method and effect of locking compression plate on die-punch fractures of distal radius.METHOD:A retrospective analysis was done for the36cases of distal radial die-punch fractures who had been treated with the Common T plate and the Locking Compression Plate in Department of Orthopaedics,Shan Dong Provincal Hospital from January2008to December2012. With the average age of operation time of33(range,16-45)days.17cases had been treated with the Common T Plate,19cases had been treated with the Locking Compression Plate. The Common T Plate Group include12males and5females..The Locking Compression Plate Group include15maes and4females.Main outcome measurements included the healing time of the fracture^the postoperative complaction rate、the Jakim’s Colles fracture evalution criteria,and compared the therapeutic efficacy of the two groups.RESULTS:All the patients were followed up for6to18(average,12.3)months. All were closed injury.All the patients were healed. The wound wre primary healing.The locking compression plate group exogenous callus occurrenced was7.05±1.06weeks,the common plate group was8.03±1.11weeks,the difference was statistically significant.The fracture line disappeared time of the locking compression plate was14.52±1.72weeks,the common plate group was16.12±1.93weeks, the difference was statistically significant. According to the Jakims colles evalution criteria, the Common T Plate Group was52.47±18.62, the Locking Compressions Plate Groups was64.32±15.93, the difference was statistically significant.CONCLUSION:Analysis the efficacy of Common T Plate and the Locking Compression Plate, Locking Compression Plate fixation of distal radial die-punch fracture can be firmly fixed the tiny fractues blocks and resore the collapse articular surface,making a good recovery function of wrist.
