The Surgical Observation In20Cases Of Gynaecomastia By Small Circum-areola Incision

Study background Gynaecomastia refers to abnormal enlargement of male breast. It is a disease of male breast breast tissue hyperplasia and breast adipose tissue abnormal development caused by physiological or pathological factors causing human endocrine disorders.With the improvement of people’s living standards and the change of life styles in recent years, the tend of Gynaecomastia increased gradually.It’s reported by some scholars that32%-65%for foreign male groups’ incidence is32%-65%.Thought GYN is a benign disease,the patients and their families obviously feel their shape abnormality or defect,that lead psychological stress and heavy spirit burdens to the patients, and many patients are found suffer from depression, anxiety and other mental problems.LiuChen and LuanJie etc report that the Plastic surgery operation can obviously improve the abnormal psychological status of GYN patients,correct their body image disturbance,improve their confidence, restore to the normal state of mentality of the GYN patients. In recent years,more and more research institutions of at home and abroad have paid more attention to this disease,and bring great progress for the treatment of GYN.Objective To explore the feasibility and effect on surgical treatment of gynaecomastia by small circum-areola incision.Providing the better clinical treatment of gynaecomastia.Method Retrospective analysis26cases of gynecomastia disease of Qilu Hospital of Shandong University in hospitalized patients in the past year,20of them were in small circum-areola incision.All the surgeries were under the local anesthesia,through small incision around the areola (2-3cm),cut open the skin,remove the hyperplastic mammary tissue,The breast tissue under the routine pathologic examination.Result All the operations were successful in the20patients,there were no complication or Blood transfusion.The average time was45.5min(one-side).All the wounds were in healed in grade A,there was no infection of incisional wound,no skin necrosis,no subcutaneous hematoma,The sensation and erection of nipples re-mained normal in all patients. All of the20patients and their families felt very satisfied with the outcome of the operations.Conclusion The operation for male gynaecomastia by small circun-areola incision is well, the incision is small and concealing,the scar were not obvious,the appearances were improved obviously, which raises the quality of life of the patients.
