Fibroadenoma of the breast is the most common clinical benign breast tumor, which high incidence is18~25years. Pathogenesis of breast fibroadenoma is generally believed that the imbalance of sex hormone levels, breast local tissue estrogen over-sensitive, high-fat diet, genetic predisposition and other factors. At present, the main treatment is surgical resection. Surgery inevitably leaves a scar in the breast surface, which makes the young beauty-conscious women of psychological shadow, or even delay treatment. We make clinical analysis of the cosmetic results, complications, local recurrence rate after surgery, and further analysis of the reason of disorder of nipple and areola. To provide a reference value for the areola incision in the clinical application.Objective1Investigate the clinical effect of the treatment of breast fibroadenoma by the areola peripheral curved incision with the traditional surgical approach to provide a reference value for the areola curved incision in the clinical application.2Investigate the relationship between nipple-areola paresthesia and the incision location.Materials and methods 1Retrospective analysis of127cases of breast fibroadenoma patients admitted to our hospital from Septermber2010to August2011, and divided into two groups (72cases in observation group,55cases in the control group). The two groups have no significant difference in age composition and tumor distribution. The observation group were treated by the areola peripheral curved incision while the control group using traditional radial incision or striae curved incision.2We make clinical analysis in terms of cosmetic results, complications, local recurrence rate, and further analysis of the incision distribution of nipple-areola parenthesis.3We adopte the SPSS17.0and x2test for statistical analysis,P<0.05statistically significant.Results1The observation group has small scar, good cosmetic results which has no significant difference compared with control group in complications, local recurrence rate.2There is relationship between the incision and disorder of the nipple and areola. The areola lateral quadrant incision is prone to cause paresthesia.Conclusions1The method of curved incision through the areola has perfect clinical effects in mammary fibroadenoma and can be widely applied in clinical practice.2The curved incision through the areola lateral quadrant easily leads to disorder of nipple and areola, which should be paid more attention to in operation.
