Object:To Investigate the effect of humanistic care on quality of life and psychological state ofCOPD patients;Improving the quality of life in patients with COPD;Reduce the frequency of acute exacerbation of COPD patients, delaying diseaseprogression;Provide a theoretical basis for clinical and humanistic nursing care model in patientswith COPD.Method:By using convenience sampling method, patients with COPD was selected fromNovember2012to April2013in The First Hospital of JI LIN University, of whose the agewere from thirty to seventy-five yeas. The diagnose of all patients were conformed todiagnosis and treatment guideline of COPD, which was made by the Chinese Society ofRespiratory Diseases in2007.Though the progress of the subject, all patients signed a consentform freely and then62cases of experimental group and63cases of control group were fittedinto the subject.The Tassi Box on the subject the self-designed “General condition questionnaire”.Weused the “chronic obstructive pulmonary disease assessment test (CAT)”and “Theself-assessment lists of symptom SCL-90(anxiety, depression)” to evaluate the quality of lifeand anxiety, depression in patients with COPD respectively. The general situationinvestigation and initial evaluation were proceeded when all patients admitted to hospitalwere diagnosed.During the process of hospital treatment, patients in control group were only providedthe routine nursing, however, patients in experimental group were provided a harmonious and comfortable environment for the treatment on the basis of routine nursing and intervened withhumanistic care (1-2hours daily)by the investigator himself until discharge. Furthermore,effective psychological intervention was proceed as well as the timely emotional andpsychological support. We also distributed the self-designed “health mission manual ofCOPD” to the patients of experimental group, and to which interpreted the knowledge ofCOPD, including definition, symptoms, the grading and staging of the disease; responsecapacity for acute aggravating period of response; exercise of respiratory muscle function;chest taps; family and home oxygen therapy. et al. All patients were re-evaluated whendischarged from hospital, and the patients of experimental group received monthly telephonefollow-up after leaving the hospital, otherwise, the patients of control group was not givenany intervention. When after six months, all patients were evaluated for the third time.Result:1. Two group was not statistically significant (P>0.05) comparable. in terms of gender,age, marital status, religion, education, employment status, family income, living conditions,illness age and type of health insurance.2. When hospitalized, all scores showed no significant difference (P>0.05) and wascomparable.3. At discharge, the anxiety, depression scores of test group decreased significantly whencompared to hospitalization, the difference was significant, with statistical significance (P<0.05).4. After six month, scores of two groups (CAT, mMRC, SCL-90) was significantlydifferent, with statistical significance (P <0.05).5. After humane care intervention for the test group,the improvement of anxietyanddepression of the two groups showed significant difference, with statistical significance (P<0.05).6. The readmission rate of patients in experimental group was less than the control groupwithin six months. Conclusion:1. Humanistic care nursing mode could enhance the quality of life in patients withCOPD.2. Humanistic care nursing mode could improve the patient’s anxiety and depression.3. Humanistic care nursing mode could reduce the readmission rate of patients withCOPD...
