Clincal Observation Of Shu Mu Combination By The Acupoint Catgut Embedding Therapy Of Senile Constipation

Objective:This test adopts Shu Mu combination by the acupoint catgut embedding therapy to treat senile constipation.Observe the clinical effect and the improvement of the symptom and the senile life quality of this method in order to provide a theoretical basis for clinical application and development.Method:This test choose64patients who meet criterion of senile constipation.Divide64patients into treatment group and control group according to the single-blind-random method.The treatment group adopted Shu and Mu points of large intestine channel and small intestine channel combination by acupoint catgut embedding therapy once every two weeks for four times. Control group adopted Macrogol4000powder for oral solution to treat once everyday for eight weeks.After eight weeks observe the clinical effect, each symptom score and the decrease of index scores of total symptoms of the two groups.And after one month observe the clinical symptoms of the two group to compare long-term curative effects.Result:After the treatment for8weeks,the total treatment efficiency of treatment group is96.88%,while the total treatment efficiency of control group is84.38%; the decrease of index scores of total symptoms of treatment group is75.85%,while the total treatment efficiency of control group is66.85%.In the aspect of symptom scores the symptom before and after between the two groups are both P<0.01.These data shows significant statistical difference between the two groups(P<0.05).And after one month the symptom recurrence of treatment group is much less than the control group(P<0.01),and in SF-36PF,RP,RE,SF,BP,GH,VT,MH and HT in treatment group are all better than control group, especially in PF(P=0.0457<0.05),RP (P=0.0000<0.01),RE (P=0.0385<0.05) and VT (P=0.0326<0.05), so the curative effects of treatment is much better than the control group,especially in long-term curative effects.Conclusion:1.Shu Mu combination by the acupoint catgut embedding therapy is a effective method to treat senile constipation,it can improve the symptom of senile constipation.2.The two groups both gain satisfying result,but the treatment group is better.3.Shu Mu combination by the acupoint catgut embedding therapy is secure,easy-operating,less influences to patients’lives,long interval time,better for long-term curative effects so it is worth to extend the theoretical basis for clinical application and development.
