| Objective: Observe the effect of electro-acupuncture Jiaji points therapy on lunmbar disc herniation related trunk muscle force and explore the effective of the therapy to relieve pain, promote the recovery of muscle force by the changes of Tergumed system for testing in patients with muscle force testing. Methods: The study used a randomized method, were qualified the inclusion criteria of lumbar disc herniation60patients, randomly divided into electro-acupuncture group and SET group each30examples, a comparison of two methods of treatment for a course of treated10times, patients in the TCM efficacy evaluation, JOA score, McGill score and the changes of the trunk muscle force, then pay a fllow-up to the patients after one month to know the whether the disease relapse(or whether pain aggravating) in all aspects to improve the situation.Results:1. after treatment, comparison of the clinical effect of Electro-acupuncture group:12cases were cured,10cases excellence,6cases efficacious,2cases ineffective, total effective rate was93.33%;SET group:9cases were cured,7cases excellence,9cases efficacious,5cases ineffective, total effective rate was83.33%.2.JOA score: after the treatment two groups JOA score improvement index have significant difference(P<0.01);3.McGill score:after the treatment two groups McGill score improvement index have significant difference(P<0.01);4. improve of trunk muscle force: after treatment two groups in all directions (flexion, extension, left rotation, right rotation, left lateral flexion, right lateral flexion) of the muscle force were improved, and improvement index have significant difference(P<0.01);5. follow-up: Electro-acupuncture group: recurrence (or pain intensified) in12cases, no recurrence(or no pain intensified) in18cases; SET group:recurrence (or pain intensified) in17cases, no recurrence(or no pain intensified) in13cases, no significant difference (P>0.05).Conclusion:the two methods in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation with distinct curative effect, but Electro-acupuncture group in relieving pain, improving the trunk muscle force is better than SET group; the follow-up show that two groups had disease recurrence (or pain intensified), electro-acupuncture group in this regard is no better than the SET group. |
