Objective:to examine the PTSD and its determinants among People Living with HIV/AIDS, providing a scientific basis for the physical and mental health of PLWHA, improving the life quality of PLWHA.Method:The subject were recruited from January to March2013among PLWHAwhoes addresse were xiangtan and in the follow-up and then carried on questionnaire. With post-traumatic stress disorder was evaluated by PCL according to the DSM-IV, at the same time collecting social demographic characteristics and HIV infection related situation, social support. T-test and chi-square test was used for univariate analysis. Logistic regression were used for multivariate analysis.Results:(1) the study investigated264PLWHA, effective rate was94.2%.the years of the subjects ranged froml8-74, the mean age of participants was40.96years(standard deviation(SD)=13.28).66.3%were male,all the subjects were from the han nationality.When they were told the HIV infection,62.5%had intensity response.71.2%didn’t perceive the risk of HIV infection of themselves. The overall score of social support ranged from12~53,(mean=28.85, SD=7.68), significntly lower than the normal population (p=0.000).(2) The rate of PTSD is46.2%.(3) Main factors affecting PTSD of PLWHA included:gender, other people know, Self-conscious health deterioration, infection risk perception, negative emotions and social support.Conclusion:(1) PLWHA have a high level of PTSD, the positive ra te of46.2%.(2) Social support of PLWHA was significantly lower than the gen eral population.(3) the influence factors of PTSD among gender, other people know, Self-conscious health deterioration, infection risk perception, negative emotions, social support.high degree of others know, the worse of Self-conscious health, high frequency of negative emotions are risk factors; perception of infection risk, higher social support scores is to protect factors.
