| Objective:To observe the efficacy of the treatment with San huang chu xuan Fang compound Bifonazole Cream for tinea manus and pedis.Methods:90patients with tinea manus and pedis from the out-patients of Jiangsu province hospital of TCM were involved in the study and randomly divided into2groups. Combined therapy of TCM and western medicine group:48patients were treated with San huang chu xuan Fang first, then Bifonazole Cream; Western medicine group:42patients were treated with Bifonazole Cream. The affected parts of48patients were soaked in the San huang chu xuan Fang for thirty minutes and then put on the Bifonazole cream once a day. And the other42patients applied Bifonazole cream only. Both group were inspected for4and8weeks. Skin eruptions of each patients were photographed and recorded before and after the treatment. Besides the adverse effects of treatment were inspected.Results:1.The cure rate of Combined therapy group is79.17%, the total effective is85.42%; the cure rate of Western medicine group is59.52%, the total effective is78.57%. Comparison of cure rate between2groups shows great significance, While there is no difference between their total effectiveness.2.The average grade of symptoms for Combined therapy group before treament is6.13±1.92, which drops after treament to5.63±2.4; the average grade of symptoms for Western medicine group before treament is5.19±2.10, which drops after treatment to3.89±1.78. The comparison of average grade of symptoms between two groups before treatment is of no significance, while the comparison of decreasing in both groups shows significance.3.the fungi clearance rate and recurrence rate of Integrated group is87.5%and13.5%, the fungi clearance rate of Western group is80.9%and24.0%. There’s no significant difference.4.No significant adverse reaction were observed in the treatment.Conclusions: The curative effect of San huang chu xuan Fang compound Bifonazole Cream for tinea manus and pedis is significant, with a low recurrence rate. |
