Correlation Of Mammography And Ultrasonography Features With The Expression Of ER,PR And C-erbB-2in Breast Carcinoma | | Posted on:2014-10-02 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:Y F Liu | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2254330425487376 | Subject:Imaging and nuclear medicine | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective:To investigate the expression of estrogen receptor(ER), progesteronereceptor(PR) and C-erbB-2(Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2)in breastcarcinoma and its mammographic features and ultrasonographic features forexploring the correlation among the three factors in order to estimate thebiological behavior and prognosis of this neoplasm. Methods:one hundred patients confirmed preoperatively to be breast cancercases at the same time doing mammography and ultrasonographyexamination;the main features of these two methods, in the mammographicfeatures, there were mass, the calcification, burr, lesion’s density; structuraldisorder; in the ultrasonographic features, there were the sizes of the mass, thecalcification, burr, the plentiful blood stream;all of the features werecomparatively analyzed with gene expression of ER,/PR and C-erbB-2stainedwith immunohistochemical technique Specimens. The software of SPSS13.0was used to analyze the involved data. Results:Among the100cases, in the mammography, PR positive rate was higher in mass(P<0.05);ER and PR positive rates were higher in spiculated tumor andC-erbB-2positive rate was higher in calcification and structural disorderlesions(P<0.05).ER and PR positive rates were lower in hyperdensity andstructural disorder lesions(P<0.05).In the Sonography, there was not a correlationbetween the size of breast carcinoma and the expression of ER, PR,C-erbB-2respectively(P>0.05); The positive expression rate of ER in spiculated breastcarcinoma was higher than non-spiculated (P<0.01);The positive expression rateof C-erbB-2was higher in patients with axillary lymph nodes metastasis(P<0.05),;the positive expression rate of ER was lower (P<0.01);The positiveexpression rate of C-erbB-2was higher in breast carcinoma tissue of plentifulblood stream than lacking of blood stream (P<0.01).Conclusions:1,there is a certain correlation with the mammography andultrasonography features and the expression rate of ER/PR/C-erbB-2;2,combinethe imaging appearance including mammography and ultrasonography with thetumor molecular level, the fact that the mammography and ultrasonographyfindings correlate with the expressions of ER/PR and C-erbB-2can be of greatimportance in estimating the biological behavior, development and prognosis aswell as indications of treatment plan making of this neoplasm, also it canbroaden the scope of the application of imaging... | | Keywords/Search Tags: | breast carcinoma, estrogen receptor, mammography features, progesterone receptor, ultrasonography features, C-erbB-2 | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
