Objective To evaluate the correlation of the manifestation of breast cancer on the digital mammography and the expression of immunohistochemical factors ER, PR, C-erbB-2; and to provide more information for the preoperative adjuvant therapy, especially endocrine therapy and for the evaluation of the prognosis. Methods 84 patients with breast cancer confirmed by histopathology were involved in this study. The mammography was performed before operation in every case, and ER, PR detection was performed in 84 cases, C-erbB-2 in 75 cases after operation. The correlation of mammographic manifestation of mass and calcification and the expression of the three factors were observed. Result 1. Of the three manifestation: only mass, mass with calcification, only calcification, the positive expression of ER, PR is in descending sequence (X~2=6.362, P<0.05 and X~2=6.452, P<0.05, respectively) and the expression of C-erbB-2 is in ascending sequence (X~2=8.336, P<0.05). 2. Of the three catigory mass sizes: no more than 2.0 cm in size, more than 2.0 cm but no more than 3.0 cm and more than 3.0 cm , the positive expression of ER, PR is in descending sequence (X =12.766, P<0.01 and X~2=7.039, P<0.05, respectively) and the expression of C-erbB-2 is in ascending sequence (X~2=8.565, P<0.05). 3. The positive expression of...
