ObjectiveBy studying the relevant information of the patients with amblyopia,we can preliminary explore TCM syndrome differentiation laws and related factors on amblyopia. It is expect to provide an basis for pathogenesis and prevention of amblyopia.MethodsWe collected64patients with amblyopia aged4to18years old.We analyzed systemic symptom about patients to explore the TCM Syndrome type distribution and the related factors using multiple Logistic regression analysis to filter the risk factors associated with Moderately severe amblyopia.Results1.The patients with amblyopia were given priority to children with4-10years old age group in this study (81.2%).2.The most Mild amblyopia patients, accounted for57.8%(37/64) in the study group. The differences in sex,age between the two groups have not statistically significance (p>0.05).3.In patients with amblyopia, the most common symptoms (frequency>20%) in descending order were monophagia(93.8%), retardation in speech(86.7%), easy cold(65.6%),retardation of walking(62.5%),emaciation(60.9%), yellow thin hair (59.4%),night sweating(54.4%),hyperactivity(51.6%),anorexia(39.1%),sponataneous sweating(29.7%),bad sleep (25.0%), loose stools(21.8%).4.The integral of syndrome in different degree amblyopia, had statistics significance (p<0.05);there was no significant difference in syndrome types(p>0.05).5.TCM syndrome types of amblyopia were divided into liver-kidney deficiency and spleen-stomach deficiency. Liver-kidney deficiency was the most common type, accounting71.9%. The syndrome distribution had no significant correlation with sex, course, age and degree of amblyopia. 6.We analyzed related factors Through using Logistic regression analysis,"nutrition index in pregnant women "and "children monophagia" were significantly different(p<0.05),which were one of the risk factors leading to medium or serious amblyopia(OR>1).Conclusions1.TCM syndrome types of amblyopia were categorized into2,which were liver-kidney deficiency and spleen-stomach deficiency. Liver-kidney deficiency was the most common type among them. The differences in sex, course, age, degree of amblyopia among TCM syndrome types have no significant difference.2. Nutrrition index in pregnant women and children monophagia, may be one of the risk factors for moderate to severe amblyopia.
