ObjectiveSubacute thyroiditis is a self limiting non suppurative thyroiditis diseases, the main symptoms of neck pain and discomfort, often recurrent, influence the life quality of the patients, through collecting medical records, analysis and summary of the common TCM syndromes, and between syndrome type distribution and age, gender and objective parameters contact,to explore the relationship between TCM syndromes and Western medicine of subacute thyroiditis type, syndrome differentiation and treatment guide TCM treatment, curative effect of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine treatment of subacute thyroiditis.MethodsWestern diagnostic criteria for subacute thyroiditis "Chinese reference guide" in the diagnosis and treatment of thyroid diseases, through the collection of cases in Hubei Provincial Traditional Chinese Medical Hospital outpatient and ward Optics Valley thyroid endocrine, combined with TCM syndrome differentiation,Professor Chen should be divided into exogenous wind heat, toxic heat, phlegm stagnation of liver Qi and yang deficiency type three to syndrome differentiation and treatment prescription of traditional Chinese medicine plus Western medicine observation of patients before and after treatment, the symptoms, thyroid function, blood routine,ESR,C reactive protein and duration of treatment, and statistical analysis.Results(1)subacute thyroiditis in TCM syndrome type distribution, liver stagnation and heat toxin syndrome accounted for 49.51%,followed by 35.92% external wind heat syndrome, phlegm and yang deficiency accounted for 14.56% of the least.(2)syndromes: the observations, exogenous wind heat syndrome, liver qi stagnation and phlegm heat toxin syndrome,Yang deficiency, three syndromes before and after treatment, symptom scores, there was statistical differences(P<0.05).And the Yang deficiency phlegm and exogenous wind heat syndrome, liver stagnation and heat toxin syndrome had significant difference(P<0.05).(3)ESR,C reactive protein and other objective parameters: exogenous wind heat syndrome, liver qi stagnation and phlegm heat toxin syndrome,Yang deficiency in three kinds of syndromes in comparison before and after treatment, there was statistical differences(P <0.05),and liver heat toxin syndrome compared with the other two groups had significant difference(P<0.05).(4)thyroid function index: thyroid function Yang phlegm,FT3 FT4 and TSH(P<0.05),indicating a significant difference, exogenous wind heat syndrome and liver heat toxin syndrome(P>0.05),indicating no significant difference.(5)course of disease: subacute thyroiditis in TCM syndrome,Yang deficiency phlegm coagulation syndrome of the average course of disease compared with the other two groups, there was significant difference(P<0.05),while the other two groups were not significantly different(P>0.05).(6)age and gender distribution: exogenous wind heat syndrome, liver qi stagnation and phlegm heat toxin syndrome,Yang deficiency in sex distribution,no statistically significant difference(P> 0.05),with the female ones, the age distribution of Yang deficiency with phlegm and the other two groups, there was significant difference(P<0.05),while the remaining two of the difference between groups was not significant(P>0.05),Yang deficiency and phlegm age is larger than the other two groups.(7)thyroid ultrasound: exogenous wind heat syndrome, liver qi stagnation and phlegm heat toxin syndrome,Yang deficiency in nodule size, there is a statistically significant difference(P< 0.05),the difference in the number of nodules are not significant(P>0.05).(8)The relationship between distribution of TCM syndromes : Western medicine and Western medicine type in a common type accounted for the highest,35.9%,followed by nodular and hyperthyroidism, were 24.2% common type and nodular type other than the feeling the heat syndrome up in hyperthyroidism with liver heat toxin syndrome most, but less thyroiditis and mixed type.Conclusion(1)the distribution of subacute thyroiditis sex,the proportion of the three types of women accounted for a larger proportion of the age distribution, the age of Yang deficiency and phlegm coagulation syndrome than the other two groups.(2)The 2 syndromes are divided into three types, exogenous wind heat syndrome, liver qi stagnation and phlegm heat toxin syndrome,Yang deficiency, including liver heat toxin syndrome the ESR,C reactive protein is higher than the other two types, suggesting that patients with liver heat toxin syndrome more serious, and more about thyroid follicle destruction.(3)subacute thyroiditis exogenous wind heat syndrome and liver heat toxin syndrome often suggest that FT3 FT4 TSH down, indicating that the two syndromes of subacute thyroiditis are often manifestations of hyperthyroidism.(4)syndrome integral, the change of Yang deficiency phlegm syndrome is less than the other two types of syndromes, suggesting that the effect of Yang deficiency phlegm syndrome is better than the other two groups.(5)on the course of disease, the average duration of Yang deficiency and phlegm coagulation syndrome was longer than that of the other two groups, suggesting that it was more protracted and recurrent.(6)thyroid ultrasound: Yang deficiency phlegm nodules and nodules number is slightly larger than the external wind heat syndrome and heat toxin syndrome of stagnation of liver qi.(7)The relationship between distribution of TCM syndromes : Western medicine and TCM syndromes in order to exogenous wind heat type is the most common western medicine type, followed by nodular type,Yang deficiency and phlegm in western medicine type in most type classification in common type accounted for the highest,35.9%,followed by nodular and hyperthyroidism type, are 24.2% common type and nodular type other than the feeling the heat syndrome up in hyperthyroidism with liver heat toxin syndrome, thyroiditis and less type and mixed type.
