Objective:(1)To evaluate children aged8-10the index of orthodontic treatment need.(2)To investigate the impact of oral health related quality of life and the impact of family life in the children aged8-10with the different degrees of malocclusion through the Child Oral-health Related Quality of life questionnaire in order to give a suggestion to oral health.Methods:(1) Research one:1528-10years children take modulus and take a frontal photo about teeth. To evaluate children aged8-10the index of orthodontic treatment need using dental health component and aesthetic component.(2)Research two:1528-10years children and their parents completed CPQ, PPQ and FIS to investigate the impact of oral health related quality of life and the impact of family life in the8-10-year-old children with the different degrees of malocclusion and to assess CPQ and PPQ in correlation analyses.Results:1.Research one (1) The results indicate that from DHC,32.9%of children had great need and very great need for orthodontic treatment need,54.6%of children had no need. From AC,12.5%of children had great need and very great need for orthodontic treatment need,64.4%of children had no need.2.Research two (1) To compare the CPQ scores between the different degrees of malocclusion groups:the CPQ scores were statistically significant differences(P<0.05). In four dimensions:oral symptoms, oral function and emotional aspects of score differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Social aspects of score differences were no significant differences (P>0.05).(2) To compare the PPQ scores between the different degrees of malocclusion groups:the PPQ scores were statistically significant differences(P<0.05). All four dimensions:oral symptoms, oral function, emotional and social aspects of score differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).(3) To compare the CPQ scores and PPQ scores, the CPQ and PPQ had significant correlation. Also this correlation was showed in four dimensions:oral symptoms, oral function, emotional and social aspects.(4) To compare the FIS scores between the different degrees of malocclusion groups:the FIS scores were statistically significant differences(.P<0.05). In four dimensions:Parental activity, parental emotions and family conflict of score differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The scores in financial burden were no significant differences (P>0.05).Conclusion:1.Research one:32.9%of children had great need and very great need for orthodontic treatment need.AC is lesser than DHC.2.Research two:(1) This study indicates that malocclusion affects child’s quality of life from oral symptoms, oral function and emotional aspects.(2) This study indicates that malocclusion has the impact on family life from parental activity, parental emotions and family conflict.(3) The CPQ and PPQ had significant correlation.
