Vitamin D levels and VDR receptor polymorphisms is closely related topulmonary tuberculosis; Vitamin D can affect Vital Capacity, immune systemand MMP9levels of pulmonary, and influence the development of COPD;Vitamin D can possiblely regulate the levels of blood pressure of patientswith high blood pressure;the mechanism may be vitamin D inhibits reninangiotensin system; Vitamin D is closely related with the incidence ofcoronary heart disease,which affects cardiac structure and function probablyby reducing inflammation and atherosclerosis plaque formation, inhibitingangiogenesis,vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation and the secretion ofmatrix metalloproteinases9, increasing blood clots elements to reducethrombosis and so on;Vitamin D influences the tumor’s growth andmetastasis by blocking cell proliferation cycle, promoting apoptosis,inhibiting cancer gene expression and tumor metastasis, invasion andangiogenesis; Vitamin D may have therapeutic effect on systemic lupuserythematosus, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory boweldisease by regulating the immune system; Vitamin D has relationship with type1diabetes, type2diabetes. Vitamin D can regulate islet beta cellfunction, insulin resistance and the immune system,affecting thedevelopment of diabetes mellitus.
