Objects:To investigate the effect of progressive addition lenses combined with raceanisodamine on myopia in Chinese children juvenile; To investigate the effect of progressive addition lenses on position of eye in juvenile myopia; To investigate the effect of0.05%raceanisodamine eye drops on intraocular pressure in juvenile myopia.Methods:156cases of myopic children aged8to16years old who treated in Shengzhou People’s hospital were randomly selected.156case (312eyes) of patients with myopia range from-0.75D--5.00D were randomly divided into four groups,in which group A was only treated by monofocal lenses, group B was treated by monofocal lenses and0.05%raceanisodamine eye drops, group C was only treated by progressive addition lenses, group D was treated by progressive addition lenses and0.05%raceanisodamine eye drops. Refraction, corneal curvature, axial length, intraocular pressure, horizontal phoria was measured in each patient. All the subjects were followed up every6months for a period of18months.A t-test was used to compare the progression of myopia, axial length, intraocular pressure and corneal curvature, position of eye before and after18months treatment. Results:There was no statistically significant difference in all groups about age, myopic degree, intraocular pressure, corneal curvature and position of eye before the trail.After18months, the refraction, axial length of4groups significantly increased comparing with the baseline examination, and corneal curvature, intraocular pressure, horizontal phoria had no distinct difference.After18months, the progression of myopia was-1.02±0.30D,-0.78±0.29D,-0.87±0.19D,-0.47±0.20D in group A,B,C,D respectively. The increase of refraction, axial length in group D (treated by progressive addition lenses and0.05%raceanisodamine eye drops) was significantly less than group A (only treated by monofocal lenses) group B (treated by monofocal lenses and0.05%raceanisodamine eye drops) and group C (only treated by progressive addition lenses). There was no other complaints and complications in all subjects.Conclusion:1.The progression of the myopia can be controlled safely and effectively with progressive addition lenses combined with raceanisodamine for most of myopia in Chinese children juvenile; 2. Wearing progressive addition lenses will not increase the phoria degree in the juvenile myopia.3.0.05%Raceanisodamine eye drops had no significant effect on intraocular pressure in the juvenile myopia.
